This big bear just went out. It came in with a skin condition which left his face mostly bald and all his hair matted and gross. Was able to comb him out and fluff him up nice, and paint the face to blend back in with the natural colour.

BJS Taxidermy is excited to announce they are now doing birds! (And by they, I mean me… I’m the only one here 😜)
Here is the finished product of my very first bird since returning from training . These “road chickens” are most commonly seen eating grit on the sides of the road around here, and that’s what I tried to replicate with this habitat. Looking forward to getting a few more feathered pieces started!

So here is the finished product. I harvested this deer the year my son was born almost 10 yrs ago. I never had intentions to mount it, but when I signed up for school with to fine tune some skills and learn a whole lot of new ones, I was required to bring a set of antlers, and well, I’m sure glad I brought these! This deer turned out great! Not that my@son will remember ( he was only 2 months old) but this was the first deer I harvested with him, and will hand proudly in his bedroom for years to come!

Something different 🦊 Sometimes it’s nice to set the deer down and do something else every now and then. This fox was road kill and although we wanted to do a full body mount, a lot of it wasn’t salvageable. Still made due with this unique pedestal mount display featuring weathered fence, native grasses and turkey feathers 😎🪶
