PawzTracks agility is proud to have been in business for over 20 years serving Calgary and Cochrane, AB. Owner Dani DeCecco, canine behaviour specialist with over 15 years as an agility instructor and her talented team will introduce you to a dog sport that will help develop a working relationship between you and your canine companion. All instructors are chosen for their knowledge, experience, an

d accomplishments in their field of dog sports. Agility provides intellectual stimulation, develops confidence, and improves trust and communication between you and your dog. Classes will introduce your dog to new experiences that will help train your dog to understand both verbal and visual cues. Agility is not just for those who wish to compete, but for all people and all breeds of dogs. PawzTracks provides a safe and positive environment for you and your best friend to practice and train. *** Agility can be a high arousal sport. Group classes are not appropriate for dogs with reactivity/aggression issues or other behavioural problems. ***

*** We recommend that your dog be 10 months of age before starting agility. ***

Register now to save your spot! Beginner classes are typically offered at 6pm or 8pm depending on registration requests. Our other class times may vary so if you have any time conflicts, please let us know when registering🐾

The beginner classes are so much fun as your dog will be introduced to the agility equipment such as the jumps, teeter, tire, bridge, A-frame, and weave poles.

We hope everyone has been enjoying our agility classes so far this year🐾 If you’ve been searching for an opportunity that provides your dog with both mental and physical exercise, look no further! Our beginner classes provide a great opportunity for your dog to be introduced to a variety of agility equipment all while having a great time doing it!

We have beginner class openings in both our Calgary and Cochrane locations starting the week of April 7th. Our Calgary classes run either on Monday or Thursday evenings and the Al Azhar Shriner’s Fez Dome. Our Cochrane classes run on Tuesday evenings at the AG Arena. When emailing us to register your pet ([email protected]), please state your location/date preference.

We can’t wait to see all the new faces in our next round of classes and we’re so excited to see all the returning faces as well! The next round of classes begin in 3 weeks so make sure to register as soon as possible to save your spot. If you have any questions, please reach out to us.

❗️Beginner Class Availability❗️

If you’re a Cochrane dog owner and you’re looking to get out of the cold while also providing great mental and physical exercise for your dog, then be sure to register for our agility classes!

We currently have class availability for our next round of Cochrane beginner agility classes that begin Tuesday February 25th at the AG Arena. Class times are currently dependent on class size as we want to provide the best experience to everyone involved, but the classes usually begin at 6pm.

For those wanting to try out agility this year, we have great news! Our next round of beginner agility begins the week of February 24th and classes run for 6 weeks! To save your spot, please email us at [email protected]

Due to a large volume of email requests, please message us on Instagram or Facebook if we haven’t gotten back to you through email within 3-5 business days. Some emails go to spam unfortunately and we don’t want to miss your registration request 😊

We offer classes at 6pm, 7pm, and 8pm however, beginner classes are subject to availability and may change depending on class size. Just about any breed of dog can be taught to use dog agility equipment, and most breeds are welcome to participate at agility events, including mixed breed dogs. While some of the most successful agility dogs have been border collies, Australian shepherds and terriers, more than 150 breeds and mixed breeds have participated in agility contests with great success. Breed is less important than skill and energy level. If you have a healthy energetic dog, using dog agility equipment can be a wonderful option for you and your furry friend.

Did you know that Agility originated in England?
Dog shows usually have a large amount of spectators, but there also tends to be a lot of downtime in between judging. To keep the event exciting, the promoters of the Crufts Dog Show in the United Kingdom asked dog trainer Peter Meanwell to create some type of dog jumping performance to entertain the crowd at the dog show. In 1978, Meanwell and his faithful canine companion showcased the first agility runs at the Crufts Dog Show and the popularity of the sport exploded virtually overnight.

Are you looking for a fun new activity to try with your pet this September? We offer beginner classes in both our Calgary and Cochrane sessions🐾

Our beginner classes will introduce you and your dog to all pieces of agility equipment: jumps, tunnel, tire, teeter, bridge, A-frame, table, and weave poles. Handlers will also learn the importance of body language and positive re-enforcement.

If your dog has a favourite treat, agility is the perfect time to reward them! Also, if your pet has any allergies, please let us know when registering and when meeting your instructor😊
