Normally Brenda is the social media person however I (Kris) am taking over for today.

Over the last year we have tried to grow various types of greens, flowers and herbs. Some we kept for our mix, some we left out.. our latest harvest is something that will knock your socks off.

On December 28th at 5:40pm we harvested the best thing in our lives yet. Everly Anne Sutton came into the world and changed our lives forever. Ev’s is a happy, healthy, sleepy baby who does nothing but put a smile on our faces. Both her and mom are doing well.

Due to child labour laws Everly won’t be working with me in the farm anytime soon but can’t wait to have a little helper. We are however very excited to see this little spout grow with time… hopefully not to fast

We apologize for anyone who was looking for our lettuce the last few days(we had a good reason). That being said anyone with a New Year resolution to eat healthier, we are here to help!

Meet Kris and Brenda Sutton, some of Kings-Hants’ newest farmers! Last night I visited their vertical hydroponic farm, which is producing local vegetables year round for sale from their home in Enfield.

It’s amazing to see the technology being used, and its ability to help reduce our reliance on imports and strengthen local food security.
