Today we celebrate Veterinary Appreciation Day 🐾

To every veterinary professional - from client care and assistants to vet techs, veterinarians, managers, and leaders - whether you're in clinic and offering support from beyond clinic walls, thank you for your commitment to caring for pets and the people who love them.

Your knowledge, skills, and abilities are invaluable. Veterinary medicine carries a heavy emotional weight. It takes a lot of strength to keep showing up, not always knowing what each day will bring.

Please know that the work you do matters, your reasons for doing what you do matters, and you, matter.

From all of us at VetGo: thank you for everything you do—for pets, for families, for our profession, and for each other.

Happy World Veterinary Day! 🐾

Today, we celebrate the compassionate care veterinary teams provide to clients and patients worldwide. It’s a day to acknowledge the dedication, compassion, expertise, and challenges that go into caring for animals.

As we celebrate, it’s important to recognize the challenges that veterinary professionals face every day:

🧑🏽‍⚕️ Staffing Shortages: Many veterinary practices continue to face ongoing shortages of skilled veterinary professionals. This not only effects workload and psychological demands, but can lead to burnout.

💆 Emotional Toll: Veterinary professionals often experience compassion fatigue, dealing with difficult decisions, such as euthanasia, and coping with the emotional highs and lows that come with patient care.

⚖️ Work-Life Balance: Long hours, weekends, overtime, and being on-call can take a toll on personal time, leaving many veterinary professionals struggling to find balance and time for self-care.

As we reflect on these challenges, let's express our gratitude and offer support to those who work tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of pets and their families, even when it's at the expense of their own wellbeing.

To all the veterinary professionals worldwide, you are not alone. Thank you for everything you do 💜
