Long strand fibres are essential to a rabbit’s health due to the high fibre which is the single most important thing in maintaining optimum intestinal and dental health of rabbits. Without this crucial fibre, a rabbit’s digestive system will not function properly. The movement of food through the gut will slow down, causing all major of illness and, often, can lead to an early death.
The crucial fibre in hay and grass is also essential for the dental health of rabbits. Rabbits teeth grow all the time and need the chewing action of coarse substances to wear down teeth to stop them from becoming painfully long. If teeth do get too long it can inhibit your rabbits ability to eat, and you don’t want that!

Not only do we produce mini hay bales we also make mini straw bales! Made from the barley that we grow on our grain farm. In the fall is harvest, where we combine all the grains that we planted in the spring and watched grow all summer. After the barley goes through the combine the straw that is left behind is what we use to make the straw bales.

These handmade 1/64 scale bales are something that our Product Creator saw a need for in the farm toy community. He took it upon himself to figure out how to make these from the fragments of hay that come from making our mini bales. We aren’t wasting a thing over here!!

One thing that is important to us is Sunday family suppers. Whenever we can we get together at the farm to sit down to a nice home cooked meal and enjoy some family time. Growing up family suppers were one thing that we made sure to do most nights. So many memories were made around the old oak table and we’re still making them today.

Here we have the product that started it all, the mini hay bale. Isn’t it so cute?
Not only is this little bale great for your small pets such as rabbits and guinea pigs, it’s also great to take on the trail as a snack for your horse - trail treat!
Our little bales are made from naturally grown, ethically sourced grass grown on our farm. Each year, typically in July we have haying season. We harvest the hay into 1500-1800 pound round bales that we later use to make these little 2 pound bales in a much smaller stationary baler.

When she isn’t working for The Little Bale Company, she can be found working with her husband Skyler running a successful trucking company. They have 2 kids with a 3rd on the way.
We weren’t minding when we said this is a family run company!

Meet Chase - Product Creator
Chase is the oldest of the 3 kids. Over the winter Chase found a way to make the little bales even smaller! 1/64 scale to be exact! Info to come
Chase knows everything there is to know about trucks and cars, is a movie buff and is a collector of farm toys.
He is an important part of the team
