❗️BE AWARE ❗️

The idea of allowing cats outdoors to explore nature, roam free, and smell ALLLL the smells sounds wonderful in theory.. However, this typically isn't a safe option for them. 🙀😿 British Columbia is home to at least 5000 cougars, as well as bobcat and lynx. Bobcats are the smallest out of the three, and they are still approximately 3x larger than the average domestic cat!

🐈‍⬛ Pets can easily be targeted as prey by BC's wild cats and other wildlife, so it is best to keep cats indoors only or provide safer alternatives to letting them explore outside. We've heard of some pretty innovative solutions, including the DIY trend! Please keep dogs on leash while recreating in wildlife country too.

PS. Did you know that pet food is considered a wildlife attractant and could bring unwanted visitors to your door step? Avoid this by feeding pets indoors too. Thank you for helping us keep wildlife wild and communities safe!

We have 30 fabulous vendors coming out for this weeks market. We have 4 farms with fresh produce, meat, eggs and fruit. Recline Ridge Winery is participating for the first time with a great promotional offer - buy 6 get one free. Northyards Cider will be joining us for the first time as well. We have artisans, food vendors and we have hot dogs, face painting and cotton candy for the kids. Hot Dogs and drinks will be to fund raise for Sicamous Minor Hockey.
