They are babies, and they need all the protection they can handle. To reduce the risk of pups getting parvovirus (a leading cause in puppy death), we recommend our families NOT walk their pups off their property and NOT allow them to interact with other dogs (outside the home), until they've had their 3rd set of puppy shots! When you get a puppy, you're eager to show them off, we understand, but parvo is a highly contagious virus passed on from unvaccinated animals. So when you take them to the pet store for the first time (and they haven't received their 3rd set of shots), always put them in the cart! You wouldn't put your newborn on a dirty surface, right?
