Did you know that toy breeds are prone to reactivity? It’s a big world for tiny beings, which means it can be quite intimidating. Toy breeds are also the least likely to have their boundaries respected, leading to bigger reactions!

Vex’ahlia may be my training assistant, but none of this would be possible without the pup that inspired my love for dog training, Talitha.
Talitha is my family’s toy poodle that I began training as a child, and even though she is 9 years old, she still has just as much drive to learn as any young puppy!
Vex’ahlia came into my life at a year old, after spending 8 months on the streets of Mexico, and the next few months in a shelter. While she came with no training (don’t worry I tried Spanish 😉), she has blossomed into a fantastic demo dog and working companion! I call her my little work in progress, but she’s perfect in every way. She has her own Instagram if you’d like to follow along with her adventures!
How cute is this precious girl?! 😍 Shay is seven months old, and proves it’s never too late to start your puppy training!
