It is officially Corn Acre Farms Sweet Corn Season. Mom and Dad have grown their famous sweet corn for over 60 years and this year have passed the torch over to their son Jay Banks and he nailed it of course.

Corn is looking good, great job, now to just keep the animals, birds and bugs out of it. And yes, of course, Neil kept an eye on it every few days.

Grandpa’s first Special (Corn Acre Farms) of the season . Fresh dug unwashed red potatoes 3litre 5.00. While quantities last. Grandpa got them dug just before the rain and Wendy got them picked up with a little help from him

Daisy May Perennials is closed for the season. I appreciate everyone who supported my little pop-up shop in the field on Old Briar Hill Road. Thank you to my Briar Hill neighbours, my Jonas Street neighbours, my old friends who came out to support me, and my new friends who discovered me during their travels. I genuinely have enjoyed visiting with you all and helping you add to your garden, and I love knowing that I have helped in some small way to expand your flower beds and beautify your yards and encouraged some of you to grow your own fruit trees.
I especially enjoy being able to drive by your places and see your flowers, shrubs, and trees flourishing. I am thrilled to know that many of my plants found homes nearby in Lyndhurst, Seeley's Bay, Morton, Lansdowne, Athens, Chantry, Elgin, Westport, Perth, and Brockville, and some even travelled as far as Montreal from our little stand. You made carrying all those jugs of water across the road worthwhile.
My heart is full!

2 rakes had malfunctions, grandpa wanted to keep going while the sun was shining so Jay had to get a rake from Cody for him to keep going while Jaxon got his fixed and going again , the old saying is make hay while the sun shines

Just weeded first and second crops of snap beans and potatoes. We use both of this equipment then no hoeing required, with health issues and age we are thankful to be out doing this, also this allows us to no longer use plastic mulch , it seems much better for the soil allowing it to breath and nothing to try to dispose of. (Old saying “been there done that “)

Weeded the first rows of potatoes, green & yellow beans and if you look close you will see over a thousand sweet potatoes we got planted and watered they will need lots of watering
