I was so happy to have the most wonderful visitors come to see me at the dog show this weekend, Beth Frazis and her amazing 10 year old service dog Hope(Nonnies Hope Springs Eternal). Hope started her life as one of my puppies and was with me for a couple of years. She had one litter of puppies, it was just a litter of one but he turned out to be one of my best dogs ever, “Grayson” GCH. Nonnies Fifty Shades of Gray CGN. After that Hope went to stay with my sister Christine Einboden of Medical Sniffer Dogs Inc.. Christine had recognized her service dog potential and trained her as a Seizure Alert Dog. Hope became Beth’s partner and best friend in 2017. Beth had been suffering from multiple seizures a day that came on without warning and could not be controlled. She had been unable to live a normal life, to drive a car, to go anywhere alone or to hold a job as the seizures were ever present. She was often seriously injured from having them and spent alot of time in hospital. Understandably Beth was always fearful and anxious of when the next one would occur. When Hope arrived, Beth’s life changed instantly. With her great scenting ability she was alerting Beth to every seizure she had without fail, giving her a few precious minutes warning that they were about to happen so Beth could get to a safe place or just sit down on the floor if need be. Hope always stayed right with her as a comforting presence until the seizures subsided. Hope gave Beth her independence again, rebuilt her confidence to go out into the world and changed her life for the better in so many ways. Now Hope is retired from her working dog life and is Beth’s beloved house pet. Beth has a new young dog, a wonderful golden retriever named Freya who has taken over for Hope as Beth’s guardian angel. I’m so happy for them all!😊❤️
