Day 24 Qakuli

Qakuli has had quite the journey to get here! This brave girl arrived all the way from Nunavut after a coordinated effort with several amazing rescue organizations.
Qakuli has spent her life as a devoted mother to litter after litter of puppies, but that chapter is finally behind her.
This gentle and curious girl is friendly, quiet, and has a sassy streak that keeps her foster family smiling. She gets along wonderfully with the resident dogs and Is good with cats, though she can’t resist giving them the occasional playful “woo.”
Qakuli loves her food, rolling in the snow, and exploring the yard. She walks well on a leash but is still adjusting to the sights and sounds of her new environment. While she’s calm and quiet indoors, she adores being outside and will thrive in a home with a secure yard where she can safely explore.
Because of all she’s been through, Qakuli needs a family that is incredibly patient and willing to help her settle into her new life. A home with other dogs would be ideal, as she thrives in their company. Qakuli’s resilience and sweet nature are truly inspiring. She is Affectionate, Curious, Friendly, Gentle, Loves, Loyal, Quiet, Smart, Athletic.

Day 23 Aruba & Foxxy

Aruba
He Is a 1 year old very affectionate, social and super smart pup. Housetraining is in progress but he is doing great and catching on quickly. Aruba gets along with all animals and people, has great recall and is very easy to train. He is up do date on all shots and will be neutered before he goes to his forever home.

Foxxy
He hates being locked up or tied up. If left alone in a room or crate, he eventually settles. Foxxy is energetic and loves to play with other dogs. He is uninterested in cats. True to his husky nature, he does love to wander, so needs a secure, fully-fenced yard.

Day 22 Shadow, Frida, Bowser, Kali & Rodney

Shadow
Shadow is 14 years old and a very sassy boy. He is blind and has some special needs due to his vision issues. Shadow is a cute boy who enjoys the company of other animals and is generally a good boy. He tends to be very vocal around meal times. When he is hungry, he will be sure to let you know! He loves snuggles and the company of humans. His favourite activities include snacks and naps.
Frida
Frida is approximately 10-12 years old, her exact age is unknown. She is a friendly and happy pug who suffers from back end mobility issues and some incontinence as a result. Frida is a nice girl who enjoys the company of other animals. She also loves the company of humans and loves to be near them.
BOWSER
Bowser is 7 years old. He is currently in foster care awaiting a tail amputation surgery. He will be available for adoption once he has completely healed and recovered. Bowser prefers to be the only dog in the home. He does NOT do well with other dogs or with cats. Bowser is guarded and cautious with new people and needs very slow introductions. He will be looking for a home with experienced adopters, without kids.
Kali
Kali is a middle aged girl, approximately 5 years old. She is currently in foster care having recently undergone a tail amputation surgery. Kali will be spayed soon and will be available for adoption once she has completely healed and recovered. Kali loves people, she is cuddly and playful with people of all ages, however she prefers to be the only dog in the home. She does NOT get along with other dogs or with cats.
Rodney
Rodney is approximately 2 years old. He is currently in foster care working on his manners and training while he searches for his forever home. Rodney is a very strong boy and will require a fenced yard and a home WITHOUT SMALL ANIMALS and WITHOUT YOUNG CHILDREN as well as a person or family that can continue with his training.

Day 21 Brian, London & Jinxy
Brian
Brian is a big, lovable 6 year old orange tabby with an even bigger heart. This charming guy is full of personality and absolutely adores people. The moment you meet him, he will be right there asking for chin scritches and head pets, which are his favourite things in the world.
Brian is ready to bring his affectionate, friendly nature to a forever home where he can soak up all the love and attention he deserves.
London
London is a sweet 7 year old cuddly girl who’s ready to start a new chapter in a loving home.
London was given a supplement to help with some digestive troubles brought on by nerves in shelter. She is thriving in foster and will continue to thrive in her new stable home me.
London is full of love, energy, and unique quirks that make her truly one-of-a-kind. While she was found with another cat, we believe she’d prefer to soak up all the love for herself or potentially live with another easygoing cat.
Jinxy
Jinxy is a 4 year old social, friendly cat with a big personality and an even bigger sense of curiosity! Dozer

Day 21 Gator, Kermit, Jelly & Hamish

Gator
Is a 7 years young German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as his playful spirit. This sweet, playful and silly boy is a true joy to be around, always ready to brighten your day with his lovable personality. His enthusiasm is contagious. He is a little hard on seeing but that doesn’t stop him. His gentle, goofy charm and endless affection, Gator is the perfect companion for someone looking for a loyal best friend. Possibly dogs and kids.

Kermit
A big goofy, playful 6 year young mastiff/mix who is looking for his perfect companion. He would benefit from a quieter home with few visitors as he can be protective of his people and potentially of his space. But will warm up after a number of interactions. He would probably do best in a home without young children (16+) and with space for him to run around. Best in a home without other pets. He will need a guardian who is willing to put time and effort into training and making sure all of his needs are being met.

Jelly!
A 5 years young mixed breed. This lovely girl may be a bit shy when meeting new people, but once she gets to know you, her true personality shines through. Jelly is an absolute sweetheart who will win you over with her gentle and affectionate nature.
Jelly is well-mannered on a leash. Jelly has a playful side, loving her toys, butt scratches, and often rolling around on the ground in pure joy. She is an only dog sort of lady and would possibly be ok with older children.

Hamish
Is a sweet 5 years old goofy dog. He loves to play as much as he loves to get cuddles and affection. He’s definitely gone through some rough situations. So he can get overwhelmed with new people/ situations But he will be your new best friend in no time. Parents who are familiar with large dog breeds please. He seems quite dog social so would probably do fine with a fur siblings. Maybe even a more confident to help him. Possibly cats & children 8+

Oliver
I am Oliver and would really love to find the best forever home ever!! I originally came to KLAWS in October 2022 with an estimated date of birth of January 27, 2022. I have very unique markings as I am a Bengal cross. I really love human attention. I can often be found snuggled up with my foster. I love to run and play as well as chase all the toys. Who doesn’t like a snack?? I sure like food and treats.”

I am Star. I came to KLAWS in July 2023 with an estimated date of birth of April 7, 2023. I love to play with and chase all my furry foster friends around the house. Day 20 Burger, Val, Dee & Macker
Burger
“Long time no see my friends, I am Burger can you believe I’m 9 years 9 young?! I originally was a kitten in 2016 when I was adopted out through KLAWS. However, in 2018, I was returned. I was left alone a lot in my crate and had separation anxiety. I must be the only animal in the home so you can shower me with all your love and affection all the time. I love to play with all sorts of toys. After I’m ready fot loving. Burger eats a special urinary diet and is currently on chlomicalm, and CBD oil for anxiety. He will have to continue this in his forever
Valery
I’m Valerie. I have been with KLAWS since November 2021.mynbirtgdqy isnariund June 19, 2017. My foster home has helped me become the best kitty ever. I have both cat and dog friends. I love to sleep near my people and have one of the loudest purrs so I can catch your attention. I love to be social and eat my meals with everyone else in the kitchen. I
Valerie will need to remain on her current Hills Prescription wet & dry Diet C/D Multicare Stress. Properly portioned to help her weight.

Dee here, I am still searching for my forever home. I came to KLAWS in May 2023, and I am estimated to be around 3-6 years young with an estimated date of birth of May 8th. I have been to the vet for checkups, I have been spayed. I love toys lots of toys to play with . I am comfortable with grooming and my nails done.
Macker
I am Macker. I have an estimated date of birth of May 9, 2023 and came to KLAWS in July 2023. All day long consists of running and playing with all my furry foster friends. Once I am tired out after a long day of fun and naps, I like to snuggle up for so much needed attention. Day 19 Winston & Fern
Winston
Meet Winston, a 7-8 year old loving Boxer mix. With a heart as big as his soulful eyes. Winston’s journey hasn’t been easy but he’s ready to bring so much joy and snuggles to you
Winston has a way of stealing hearts. Everyone who meets him falls in love with his kind nature and cuddly personality. He’s happiest when he’s close to his people or chasing a tennis ball. If fetch were an Olympic sport, Winston would be a gold medalist!
Winston would thrive in a home where one of his new family is home most of the time. He does experience some separation anxiety. He is working on feeling more secure when left alone, and with patience and consistency, his confidence is expected to grow.
Winston is loyal, affectionate, and a fun-loving companion who’s overcome the odds and is ready to bring endless love to you.

Fern
Hello world, my name is Fern. I’m a 10-year-old senior girl, and I’ve spent my whole life longing for love and a family to call my own.
So here I am again, looking for a new home. I’m gentle, calm, friendly, loving, and I want to spread joy to those around me. I love cozy naps, leisurely strolls (at least 30 mins twice a day please), and cuddles. I love my food and my space, and I can be very protective of it. It is best if there are no young kids in my home. I can chill with other dogs if they are calm and if they respect my space.
I do have easily manageable non symptomatic Lyme disease that I keep to myself ( I can not transfer it to other animals or humans) .
I am looking for an adopter who will appreciate my gentle spirit, and who can offer me a peaceful and quiet home so I can enjoy my golden years.
