Biofilms can spread quickly, contaminating other areas increasing the spread of disease. Bacteria surrounded by biofilms are harder to kill with sanitizers

and disinfectants. Cleaning is an important first step to break down organic matter! Most disinfectants, bleach and standard cleaners do not have the inherent chemical ability to get rid of biofilms. All surfaces should be thoroughly agitated with a cleaner before disinfectant can be used and actually work. ProVetLogic products are bacteria enriched to break down biofilms. Save money by using the right products. The second highest operating overhead expense at many animal care facilities is "drain maintenance".
