Are you a winter lover?
If you’ve been around long, you know that we love winter here!
However, I don’t enjoy the dry, chapped skin that comes along with it. Although dry skin really seems to be a year-round thing with outdoor work, gardening, sun and wind exposure etc. But, winter definitely amps it up!

It's made with less refined sugar than usual and fresh ground soft white wheat!
Want to know the trick to whole wheat baking?
To make it less dense, you must let the dough or batter rest for 20-30 minutes. This is called an autolyze, and whether you’re making cookies, pancakes, or bread (the autolyze with bread is after mixing but before kneading), it will make a huge difference in your end product.
Don’t have fresh ground wheat? No problem! Whole wheat pastry flour and be substituted just fine.




Baking with fresh ground wheat can be different, but I'll walk you through it and you'll have the best tasting healthier cookies!

This Instant Pot Chicken and Rice is perfect for busy days!
I don’t know about you, but when I’m elbow-deep in canning or trying to finish an outdoor project, the impending doom of the dinner hour is a big weight!
This is so easy, just throw it all in the instant pot, and you have a quick delicious meal with leftovers!
Make extra so you have leftovers!!
This feeds us twice when it's first made, and then the leftovers refried as fried rice!
Feel free to swap up what meat, veggies, and seasonings you use. This is a framework to make your own.

Like freeze dried broth powder for a quick mug when my stomach feels like it could use it . My favourite things to freeze dry are the seasonal things- -when we have lots of goat milk i freeze dry it for when we have little and i need it for baby -when chickens laying like gangbusters, freeze dry for baking when theyre in a dearth -when were feeling great, broth for when were under the weather or needing a pick me up -vegetables from the garden for when its frozen like this -and last BUT NOT LEAST is leftover meals for quick meals other days 🙌 .
