Meet the newest fosters Axel and Koda! If you know me, you know I couldn’t say no to these black lab mix brothers. Axel is 4 years old, and Koda is 3 years old.
I am working with a new rescue pawsitively.furever to help these boys in need. They are from London, and have had one home since they were puppies. The boys were very well loved by their family, but due to hard times they made the very difficult decision to rehome.
Axel and Koda are available for adoption separately or together. They are both handsome, happy, and sweet dogs. In true lab form they both love water and butt scratches. They have never been crated, but are excellent in their kennels at my place. Both dogs have been raised with young children and cats in the home. They can be intimidating to young children due to their loud bark, large size, and potential to jump up when excited. Axel and Koda would do well in a home with young children that are comfortable around big and playful dogs.
Axel (4 years old) is generally quiet and easy going, although he does have a loud bark when first meeting new men. With a couple of visits and a few treats, he welcomes people happily. Axel also has a rambunctious and playful side, and especially loves playing with the jolly ball and wrestling with Koda. Axel has been very calm and friendly when meeting new dogs, but it does take him a few visits with the same dog to feel comfortable enough to play with them.
Koda (3 years old) is very sweet natured, and enjoys leaning against you for pets. He does lack some confidence and it takes him a bit longer to warm up to new people, especially men. Once he has a few minutes and a few treats, he is happy to be your friend. He does startle at new things or sudden changes in his environment, but recovers quickly. Koda is very happy to meet new doggy friends and initiates play right away.
Axel is already neutered, and will be brought up to date on his vaccinations and prevention before adoption.
Koda is scheduled to be neutered in the near future, and all required veterinary care will be updated before adoption.
As always, please share and message me if you have any further questions about these adorable boys!
