First off I just want to start by saying thank you to everyone for the support over the last two years. I have made the incredibly tough decision to take a step back from Lucky Dog. I’m not sure how long this break will be or if my business plan will be the same when I come back. Because of this I am wanting to clear all my inventory.

Our website is updated with all our remaining stock and there are some MASSIVE savings to be had. I will keep our site open until everything is cleared out.

This is the perfect time to holiday shop for your pups 🎄

Once again thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the support. I loved seeing pics of all your happy pups and getting to meet so many of you. This isn’t a good bye it’s a see you later.

We turned 1 today!

Can’t believe it’s already been a year since we launched this little business. I remember jumping up and down when I got my first order (I mean I still do everything you guys order).

I have grown so much, learned so much, made many new friends and I love that I get to keep helping you spoil your dogs.

The time has finally come for Talk to the Tail to officially start selling Lucky Dog Company products directly from the daycare!

We are so excited about the variety of products we have, and to bring them close to you!

How to purchase:

1. Reach out to us directly - email [email protected], DM us on Instagram or Facebook or give us a call at 204-388-5066 (leave a voicemail if we can’t get to the phone) with the product(s) and quantity you are looking for.

2. Set a pick up day and time within our Monday-Friday 5am-7pm business hours and we will have your order ready for that time!

3. Payments will be accepted via E-Transfer and Credit Card only! We will provide you a total for your order and you can either provide your payment prior to pick up (E-Transfers must be received prior to your pick up time) or Credit Card payments can be made at time of pick up!

4. ENJOY!

We will be stocking as product sell so please don’t worry if your dog’s favourite treat or chew sells out - just let us know how many and of what you’d like from our product list and we will let you know when it arrives at Talk to the Tail!

Manitoba Underdogs Rescue Inc., an amazing local dog rescue in Winnipeg currently has 60+ puppies in care and a lot of new mamas. As you can imagine that is a lot of food for those growing bellies and nursing moms.

If you are able please consider them for your Christmas giving please do. Underdogs does such amazing work in the province. They use performatrin puppy and Kirkland puppy food to avoid upset tummies when switching brands.

New Product Alert 🚨

Penny is probably more excited than anyone that we are now carrying Manitoba Elk Antlers!

These are some of my favourite chews for dogs and they are, as always so nutritious for them too with the added benefit of helping to clean gums and teeth.

We will be carrying two sizes, medium and large. They all vary in shape and size.

New Protein Alert 🚨

We have gotten our hands on a new protein which you will be able to buy in January. I was way too excited to keep the secret until then.

It may be something you never expected. Introducing ... CRICKET TREATS. Yes you read that right just like the bug 🦗. I’ve just started to see this in the commercial dog food industry and I’m so lucky to be able to get my hands on. Before you get grossed out keep reading.

Nutritious - Crickets are super nutrient dense. They have a lot of protein and little saturated fats. They are also a complete protein meaning they carry all the essential amino acids. Crickets are so great for dogs (and people) but I encourage you to do some research about them to discover how great they are! If this wasn’t enough, crickets are very easily digestible and could be a great solution for dogs with sensitive tummies and allergies. PLUS dogs love them! My dog and foster are going nuts for the test batch.

Local - When I started looking into making cricket treats my first question was how the heck am I gonna get this to me and was hoping I could find something at least Canadian. Low and behold I came across an amazing cricket farm right here in Manitoba. Getting to support Manitoba farmers and small business has been such an important part of my business so I’m happy I get to keep doing it!

Sustainable - Probably my favourite this about cricket protein is how small of an eco footprint it carries compared to other animal agriculture. They require little space, little food and little water. This is the new movement in both human and dog food and I’m so happy to be apart of it!

This new addition embodies my brand and mission. I can’t wait to be able to share it with you in January!!
