The distinctive grill of the thief's van looks like this. Very easy to spot from a distance. Hopefully someone will realize that this is parked just down the street, next door, in the same underground parking lot as they use or something similar.
This van is very rare and probably easy to spot.
Grey Pontiac Montana with tinted windows and a trailer hitch.
The grill is an example of what to look for. It's colour is brown whereas the thief's van is grey.

Dedicated to finding Coco, black 2 year old Border Collie/Retriever/Lab mix with 3 white paws and linear white flash on chest, small amount of white under mouth. Stolen 27 Sept from Food Basics between Walkley and Heron in Ottawa by female driving grey Pontiac van with tinted windows and a trailer hitch. This is a very uncommon vehicle. The grill is rare and is easily recognized. Only a BMW has a similar grill but the difference is significant. Think evil eyes with a V between them. See attached photos. I'm thinking that someone will realize it is the van that is parked down the street, next door, in the underground garage or something similar. The thief has an additional brown dog that is likely also stolen.
If this format works it might also work for all the other stolen dogs and cats out there.
