Things are starting to get real. Collecting specimens to take to Montana School of Taxidermy. This was the day I realized I'm a meat hunter. I decided my contribution to the world would be to make the most out of any hunter's harvest.

My plan 11 years ago was to give my son the opportunity to experience a completely different, clean life. Fort Nelson BC was the same as North Delta was in the early 70's. Before I left the Lower Mainland, I geared myself up with a hunter safety course and got my PAL. I think the first month I was here I bought myself a rifle and gun cabinet to lock it up in. I used every opportunity to get out of the house and teach my boy to survive and provide for himself. I aligned myself with people with like interests and knowledge and learned as much as I could as quickly as I could. I took our Trapper's course to further educate myself on the industry and the behaviours of animals in this area. This is what set things into motion up here in the Great White North. A local trapper gave me a lynx less than prime to practice skinning.
