Dreaming about summer time queens. 🐝
Upgraded from uncapping over a five gallon bucket and extracting with a 12 frame manual extractor. Loving the 42 frame electric extractor. 🍯🐝
Put the bee escapes on this yard today and will be pulling honey in a few days. 🍯
Colonies are looking nice and strong.
Washboarding. Just another mystery.
The Queen Bee is working hard keeping our bee yards near and tidy.🐝
The little honey house is coming along.
Just returned home from the Georgia Beekeepers’s Conference. Hello Canadian winter.🙁🐝
Treating all colonies on this roof top apiary with two strips of Formic Pro. Colonies are looking good. Varroa mite levels are mostly below 2% with a couple at 2.5%.

The Queen Bee was applying a Formic Pro treatment at one of our bee yards.
Dan and Kelsey from the Ontario Beekeepers Association’ Tech Transfer Program came to do some hygienic testing of some of my colonies. Looking forward to the results tomorrow.
Had a great time last week at the Eastern Apicultural Society’s annual conference. As part of the conference we got to visit Kutiks everything bees. They had this amazing gazebo/observation hive hut. If you are ever in New York State you must check out Kutik’s.
The bearding on the outside of the hives is from treating our colonies with Formic Pro, an organic sustainable solution for the destructive Varroa mites.
Healthy Bees. HealthyPlanet.

The Queen Bee is making splits while I am cutting grass and doing some clean up for our nuc yard.
I really am going to move some of these colonies to another yard soon.
