My boy is a champion!

John is so special to me. I am beyond happy to have him be my very first champion for BEAU BELLE BULLDOGS. Not only does he have the greatest temperament along with his passing health record, he now has champion checked off the list!

Thank you judge’s: Ms. Sandy Gelinas and Ms. Pat Cummins for awarding Monsieur Magnifique’s last two points at the Fraser Valley Dog Fanciers show this weekend.

This little lady has passed ALL her OFA health tests and receives CHIC certification for completing every recommended test for the French bulldog with her results posted on the OFA website.
Healthy dogs is what I want, it is my goal to produce, promote, and bring back the healthy French bulldogs. Dogs for us to have fun competing with, and dogs who will bring happiness to their pet families. Each litter I produce will be bred to preserve and protect the breed.
It really excites me to share Aria’s results with everyone.

Aria is John’s half sister, she is the exact female version of her brother. Quiet, calm, SUPER affectionate, smart and sensitive. She has the ideal temperament for a family dog and is a favourite for all who receives her cuddles. Hopefully we will be expecting a litter from her this fall, stay tuned for updates!

John is the first to complete almost all health screenings recommended by the French bulldog fanciers club of Canada and OFA.

Here are MONSIEUR MAGNIFIQUE’S results!

Juvenile cataracts - clear
Cystenuria - carrier (won’t create affected offspring unless paired with an affected female) so far all our girls are clear!
OFA certificates,

Radiographs,
Spine - good
The only tests left are hips and elbows when John is 2 years old. I’ll probably end up doing preliminary radiographs because I’m Impatient!

Completed health testing for our BELLE’S coming soon, as soon as I can afford it! Health testing is expensive, but it needs to be done to protect and preserve the breed I love. Vanja Radin

My sleepy little superstar is super tired after his successful 4 day weekend at the Renaissance dog show with two regional specialties for the French bulldog fanciers of Canada and western Canada. John only needs 2 more points to earn his Canadian championship.

When feeding a raw diet, its important to make sure your feeding a balanced diet. It’s not just about feeding raw meat… Check out these cute antioxidant pupcicles I make for Ella. In a blender I add raw goats milk, blueberries and blackberries and pulse blend a few times just enough to mix but leaving it with little chunks of berries - not blended completely smooth. I like to think she gets to enjoy little bursts of flavour this way 😊 then I pour into silicone moulds I purchased from Amazon and freeze. Pop them out into a container and store in the freezer. Ella gets two a day, one with breakfast and one with dinner.

Benefits of raw goats milk for dogs: it’s a probiotic that helps support their digestion by increasing the healthy bacteria in your dog's gut. It improves nutrient absorption, boosts the immune system, and helps filter out toxins.

Benefit of antioxidant berries for dogs: supports and boosts brain, heart and digestive health. Reduces inflammation and helps fight off cancer. Good for their skin and coat. Regulates their metabolism and destroys free radicals that harm good cells. It’s also high in fibre which helps out their poops.

Food inspiration brought to you by Ella’s breakfast.

In the dish: turkey mix of meat, bone and organs. Pumpkin, frozen homemade bone broth, frozen goats milk that was pre blended with blueberries and blackberries and a fresh quail egg.

Ella eats complete balanced meals using mostly fresh whole ingredients with minimal use of supplements. Rotating proteins regularly to support a naturally balanced diet.

Since Ella has been on a raw diet her brindle coat went from dull and faded with hair loss to a much darker vibrant mix of brindle that is glossy with almost no shedding at all. A decrease in bad breath with a lot less gas and only one to two poops a day. She has also built up a lot more muscle since she switched.

Do you know how beneficial bone broth is for your dog. When you boil bones collagen and cartilage break down and release anti-inflammatory nutrients that help joints stay strong. Additionally, bone broth contains amino acids that have whole-body anti-inflammatory effects. The abundance of collagen in bone broth helps structure and strengthen bones making it an ideal topper for your puppy or dogs food.

The benefits of bone broth for dogs include:
* Joint rejuvenation
* Healthy gut
* Digestion support
* Enhanced hydration
* Skin & coat health
* Increased appetite (due to a healthy, optimally-functioning gut)

Serving suggestions:
For french bulldog puppy under 20 pounds, serve up to 2 tbsp of bone broth a day.
For french bulldogs over 20 pounds, serve up to 4 tbsp of bone broth a day.

How I make my own bone broth:

5 beef marrow bones.
5 poultry feet.
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar - this helps to break down the bones and feet to pull those nutrients out into your broth. Then add water till it’s a few inches above the bones.

I use a slow cooker since this will cook for 24 hours. It’s not a bad idea to do this in your garage as I do not appreciate the smell. Boil on high for the first hour then simmer on low for 23 hours. Strain to remove bones, pour into moulds and freeze. Puppies get up to 2 frozen paws and the dogs get up to 4 frozen paws. I got my moulds from Amazon.

Here our Frenchies love life, roaming free during the day and hogging our beds at night. We do not kennel our dogs, we love our dogs as family members and believe each one of them deserves their very best life.

BEAU BELLE BULLDOGS is a CKC registered kennel. We strive to produce beautiful, conformationally correct French bulldogs who are healthy and happy purebred dogs. We are passionate about the quality of our Frenchies and stay within the guidelines of the breed standard. Each breeding pair is thoughtfully planned with health tested adults for the purpose of retaining new show dog prospects. We love competing with our dogs and it is our goal to create best in show. Our pet home puppies can be reserved to approved homes.
