Who doesn’t love options? 1️⃣2️⃣3️⃣

The Nordic AutoFeed can be installed into a fence line (recommended), or free standing with ground anchors.

Install in a paddock with 1 horse for the most accurate weight-based feedings, or install 1 unit per horse in a paddock with multiple horses.

All options provide frequent, consistent feeds for the horse and save the caregiver time, money and effort.

1 feeder, 2 feeder, 3 feeder more!

While we recommend 1 feeder per horse per paddock for the most accurate weight-based feedings, the Nordic AutoFeed also works well in situations with a number of horses in one paddock or field.

This location has a 1000lb Quarter Horse, 1250lb Warmblood and a 800lb 3 year old all together feeding off three feeders with great weight management.

When feeding multiple horses, the Nordic AutoFeed utilizes more for frequent feeds, reducing hay wastage and caretaker workload. For example, you can set all feeders for the same feed schedule and pounds per day so all horses are fed in the same fashion.

As an equestrian, you know how important it is to keep your horse healthy and happy. This is especially true when you're at a horse show. Whether you're competing in a high-stakes event or just enjoying a fun day out, there are several things you can do to ensure your horse stays in top form.

Here are a few tips for maintaining your horse's health at a horse show:

Hydration: Ensure that your horse has access to plenty of clean water. This is especially important during hot weather or if you're traveling a long distance to the show.

Nutrition: Keep your horse's diet consistent with what they're used to at home. Avoid making any drastic changes to their diet while at the show, as this can upset their digestive system.

Rest: Make sure your horse has plenty of rest between classes or events. Give them a comfortable stall or turnout area where they can relax and recharge.

Exercise: Keep your horse moving throughout the day. Take them for walks or hand grazing to prevent them from getting stiff and sore.

Temperature regulation: Keep your horse cool in hot weather by providing shade or a fan, and avoid working them too hard during the hottest part of the day.

Veterinary care: Have a veterinarian available at the show in case of any emergencies or health concerns. Also, ensure that your horse's vaccinations and deworming are up to date before attending the show.

By following these tips, you can help keep your horse healthy and happy during a horse show. Remember, the health and well-being of your horse should always come first, no matter the circumstances. Have a safe and enjoyable show!

Are you thinking about moving your horse home rather than keeping them at a boarding facility? With the rising cost of horses, feeding, and boarding, it's no surprise that many equestrians are considering this option. The cost of hay, grain, and supplements continues to climb, not to mention the added expense of veterinary care and farrier services. Boarding fees are also on the rise, with some facilities charging upwards of $1000 per month for basic care.

While keeping your horse at home can save money in the long run, it's important to consider the initial investment of building or renovating a barn, purchasing fencing and equipment, and hiring help if needed. You'll also need to factor in the ongoing expenses of property maintenance, manure removal, and utility bills.

Before making any decisions, it's crucial to carefully evaluate your financial situation and resources, as well as your horse's specific needs and temperament. Ultimately, the decision to keep your horse at home or board them at a facility should be based on what's best for you and your equine partner.

Understanding horse herd dynamics is crucial for creating a healthy and harmonious environment for your horses. By recognizing the social hierarchy, communication signals, and group preferences of your horses, you can help create a safe and comfortable living situation for them. Additionally, proper introductions of new horses can help prevent aggression and establish a new horse's place in the herd.

By being mindful of these dynamics, you can ensure a happy and healthy herd.
