Huge thank you to Sarah Swan who is such a leader in her community always helping members uncover and access resources, find job opportunities, funding for youth activities, support for members filing taxes or getting certification to find employment. She has a strong will, courage, attitude in her spirit and kindness and compassion in her soul. She lives for those around her.

⭐️ We believe in her and her ability to evoke change. ⭐️

We are so happy our paths crossed and are looking forward to our return. 💫💖

Connecting with youth in Pelican Narrows. As with every trip got to know more great people and got to see some familiar faces.

The SMILES we were so lucky to see!😁 The innocence and pure joy of these excited little spirits exude would be worth millions if you could bottle it up and sell it. It's infectious too! Happy we were able to come and look forward to going back again soon!

This is Hayden. We met him on one of our firsts visits. His enthusiasm for horses and for hockey excites us so much when we come.😁💪 It worked out tonight that we were able to saddle up a horse for him to go for a ride after school before hitting the ice. A very, genuine, eager, hard-working kid we love having around.🥰

He's asked already about 6 times when we are coming back. I said "Hayden, you'll be the first to know ;)"

Meeting with community Rec Directior Mike Bouvier to discuss the needs of these northern communities to keep sports alive. Keeping our kids active means:
💪Keeping kids safe
💪Keeping kids healthy
💪Keeping kids ALIVE!

When they are engaged, inspired, surrounded by healthy active community members they are less likely to get involved in gangs.

When they have physical activity, and stimulation of their nervous system that helps keep them emotionally and mentally stable they are less likely to turn to drugs and alcohol.

When they have goals, feel purpose, friendship, belonging they feel less alone. Being on a team and surrounded by healthy, supportive community members these kidd will be more like to ask for help before it's to late.
