This is why we sell our Rainbow Eggs with Bloom Intact! And honestly eggs for my own use have sat on the counter far longer than 2weeks-no issue.

Its been a rough couple years! Between the flood of 2019 and 2020, the draught if 2021 and lack of sales for 2022! I'm selling off some of my small herd of Nigerian does and Nigerian &/or Pygmy X kids. Must go to make room for new arrivals, just not enough feed for all! Prices Negotiable and willing to trade for good quality hay as my connection didnt pan out!😫 Msg me for more info. Located in Rochester.

The bitter sweetness of mini farming! Badger and Brady were my favorite and for a lot of other people to! But Pastel was exceptionally handsome🤩 All 3 are off to their new homes this week! Good people take my lil guys home to become their pets and I can only have faith they all have happy lives🙏🏼🥰🤗🥺👋

I'm getting a dozen rainbow eggs a day now and would like to share their value with others! They are raised naturally on fermented cracked whole grains grown with little to NO chemicals and with supplements! What a perfect night🌃!
What do you think when you think hay bales? I think 🌟star gazing!! I haven't done it in 20 years but I have a few round bales here that I had brought in for the 🐐goats and every night I rush around prying and forkin feed off of it & it reminds me of when I was a kid! I'd always crawl up on a hay bale or snuggle up in a stack or even lay in the feeder and look up at the stars 🌟!
Well tonight was perfect for it! The moon was bright, the sky was clear, the rain has quit (odd to say🤭) the wind is not blowing and its not 40° below!! It is actually -1 ...perfect!🙂 So I hopped up top, you know just for a minute. The dog came by, I hauled her 100lb old lady butt up and gave her my warmed up spot and I gazed as she sat guard. What a perfect night! And then there it is. The smell of a bog fire! What the? I sit up and the the whole field is suddenly white with smoke! Yup the farmer who's just gotta burn his bush piles and so it burns all damn winter!😤 The end of my perfect night of star gazing in 20years! Gotta love the country!🙄 Lol And I do🥰😍💗

TWINS!! And man are they beautiful!!
They came Monday night at 11:30pm! And right in the warmth of her mat pen! TG🙏🏼!! Momma Gypsy is a trooper! Didnt have triplets like her sister Angel in the earlier part of the day but she made up for it in colors! No names for any of the 5 yet! But ever so grateful that everyone is coming out rosey!😍🥰🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🙏🏼🙏🏼

Oh my this has been a horribly trying few weeks! The Boxing Day babies are doing great and are in the barn with their new cave! Had to make room in the coop for the triplets I found half frozen on the barn floor... and NOT in the heated space I'd hoped momma would chose to give birth in! Put the triplets in my coat and ran them into the house! Roughed them up lots with towels and set a heater on them! Took some time but they look like they're gonna pull through without any ill side effects!!👏🏼👏🏼🙌🙌
They're in the coop mat pen with momma and everyone is nursing! The one who was biggest had the worst of it with an awkward bend in his neck and I'm sure all knotted up with the cold! But he's standing on his own now. All said and done 9 hours later and were waiting on their cousins to arrive in the pen next door!🙏🏼🤞🐐🥰

Got it all set up yesterday and the girls are enjoying there new digs!! The coop will double as maternity pens for the goats for the unplanned December &January babies, so stay tuned for the reno update!

Sooo many projects on the list! Happy to report they are getting checked off! Benny, the lil bu**er, ripped the zippers out of the doors of my shelter and then the wind took care of the rest ☹ So first on the list was a reno & one I was agonizing over since earlier this spring but we gotter done👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😃🙌🙌

I found this lil girl yesterday all alone under a spruce tree. No foot prints to say how she got there. I couldn't catch her so left her be and made a trail for her to leave that lonely spot where she had no food. Now I see her, this morning perched on this wire!! 🤔😍🥰

We loaded everyone 🐓🐔🦆🐐up in the truck and trailer this morning 🌅and headed to the Westlock Odd and Unusual Sale! There were several lovely vendors, I met with lots of people weather was perfect and came home with almost everything I went with!😩 Was reported to me that it was the worst turn outs to yet! Just my luck! So will carry on advertising online and hope for the best! With this summers drought causing lack of pasture, feed for winter, a staggering 60% increase in grain prices and 60% drop in goat prices at auction we may just go into early hibernation and see what awaits us in spring!🍀

So even in farming there is a lot of dealing with peoples' quirks! After being stood up by a prospective buyer the kids are set free to join their mommas and graze in their pasture! After 2 days in their new weaning pen snuggling together I their own shelter cube, I'd thot everyone would've been way happier returning to their normal but the babies got horned for trying to nurse!😫 So the forced weining process has begun and Mom's are taking over!🥰😍

Oh my this project took me awhile! Its my goats summer pasture. I started off putting up a 3 strand electric fence and the goats laughed their asses off at me and ran into the hay field! Last laugh here as I've now completed the almost 900ft hard wire fence! Takin them some time to get used to the space away from their barn but once they eat down the mega grass they'll find hills and fallen logs to climb and lots of trees to destroy! Lol Goats will be goats!🐐 Baaad!

God's Green Earth 🌎! I 💘 love it here and all the creatures great🐴 and small🐥! Despite all the tribulations I'm living my dream, what I've wanted to do my whole life! Is it perfect? Is it nothing but fun? No freakin way! It's all work and very little play. It's literally blood, sweat 😓 and tears😢 and someday I feel like I might have an aneurysm! Lol So I'd like to share with you days events and tasks that usually take me weeks to accomplish and in the end I might just have to do it all over again or to heck with it we'll try again next year cause our 3 best seasons🌸🌻🍁 just pass Way. To. Fast!
