Happy New Year! Welcome 2024 🎉

Here’s to a year full of health, joy & success for all. We are grateful to all the people and dogs we met last year and are excited to see some new and existing handlers and their dogs.

Rules & Reminders

1. Greetings! 👋
No greetings between people and/or dogs ❌
This is a learning environment. Many of the dogs are over socialized and excitable, some nervous and reactive or struggle with aggression towards strangers/people.
Be mindful and keep a safe distance between clients.

2. Rewarding your dog! 🦴
Please bring whatever makes your dog excited and happy. That could be a tug toy, or food reward.
Ensure you have optimal space to avoid unnecessary conflicts between dogs. 🪐
*We do not recommend bringing a toy that needs to be thrown, such as a ball

3. Tools! ⛓️
Please ensure you have your training collar in the correct position and charged (if applicable). We want to set the dogs up to success! ⭐️

4. Help! 🤗
We are here to help you. Please let us know if you have any issues, concerns or just want a little more support.

Good things take time.

This is what happens when you put instructions into practice. Max has been training with us since he was a pup and has been a privilege to watch him become confident and thus stable. He has earned the freedom of being off leash and going anywhere and everywhere with family due to his consistent reliability. It has been an honour to work closely with his handler and family. Keep up the good work Max!

Little puppies are so sweet.
I sure miss my dogs being pups, and it’s been very difficult not to get a new one with the human pup already on its way.
Pups like kids crave guidance and are eager to learn.
It’s our job to teach them proper outlets, behaviours and social cues.
If you put in the work they can be such wonderful companions throughout life.

In home training coming soon.

Monstie & Me.

Anybody that knows me, understands that I don’t believe in breed stereotypes. If I get a dog, they will be fantastic.
My goals are always to build a strong team relationship to bring out the potential in any of my dogs.
Solo Monsta defies the unfortunate breed complacency associated with huskies and malamutes.
A wonderful dog, and an even better cat.

Season of Solo is upon us. Winter is coming. ❄️

Max.
A wonderful Dutch/GSD mix growing into himself.
As a dog living in a family setting with small children and busy parents we need a dog to be reliable. From the playground to the city, Max continues to impress us at only 9 months old.
This highly intelligent pup is the true product of proper structure and management yielding a well-rounded and well-mannered dog.

There is nothing more fun then bringing your 🐕 on adventures 🚵🏼‍♂️. What we teach is Functional and is always real world tested. Whether you enjoy beaches, patios, camping, biking, family gatherings or a quiet park.
Building confidence in the dog creates confidence in the handler.
Learning how to properly and safely navigate new environments and scenarios is a huge part of the Foundation.

This is Ayla & Ash. Ash is an 8 month old German Shepherd that has completed both the Puppy Kindergarten and Functional Foundations program.

Ayla at eight years old, has been his handler throughout both these programs in addition to her parents. This photo was taken at group class of which Ash was surrounding by heaving distractions including over 8 other dogs taking part in the class at close proximity.

This is our goal for all clients with children - to allow both dog and child to work as a team resulting a healthy respect and utmost safety for both.

At this young age, Ayla has proved to be a more proficient handler than some adults and we couldn’t be more proud of both of them. Great job - this is only the beginning for this team! ⭐️

DYING 🥵🔥 Heat. SO HOT ☀️🌶

🚨HEAT STROKE & HUMIDITY 🚨

In high temperatures & high humidity, dogs SHOULD NOT be outside. Reduce activity levels and allows fresh supply of fluids - monitor for any signs of lethargy and contact your vet if you have any concerns 🏥

Signs of heatstroke include:
• Excessive panting.
• Increased heart rate.
• Confusion or disorientation.
• Vomiting or diarrhea.
• Bright red gums.
• Body temperature higher than 104° F.
• Collapse, seizure, or coma.

☀️Hot days are best for indoor training - obedience, scent work, tricks & enrichment - lick mats, KONGS, snuffles.

This 4 month old puppy is enrolled in our newest program - Jump Start! It is a transitional program from Puppyhood to Adulthood 📈

It covers your typical puppy home management skills, obedience, behaviour modification, to creating and honing essential skills and working in real-world distractions! 🔤

This smart pup is only in the beginning but we are super exciting to watch her grow into the best, well behaved girl! 💝
