Wellington Walkies I offer a professional dog walking service to families in and around Wellington Village, Ottawa. Before leaving I will ensure that your home is safely secured.

10-15 minute bathroom break/check in- $15 per visit
(If you have multiple pets with varying needs, prices may be altered to reflect the time required to meet all the needs.)

30 minute private walk, leashed around neighbourhood; $20
(Add $10 for a multi-dog household)

40 minute private walk, leashed around neighbourhood; $25
(Add $10 for a multi-dog household)

After our walk your dog will be saf

ely returned home, and rubbed down, with paws wiped, if wet. I will check that they have water available to them and secure them in a crate, if used.

We just voted. It took minutes. We didn’t have voter registration cards. We just brought our passports, but a drivers licence would have worked. Go do it!! Make sure you vote!

After a day of being out walking dogs in our neighbourhood, all I can say is thank you to those of you who were kind, considerate, and patient whilst us pedestrians clambered over snow banks to cross roads, and walked in the road when the sidewalks were impassable. Sadly, this was not all drivers! So please, check your speed and slow down!
Thanks go to the majority of the drivers in our neighbourhood, particularly the posties who encountered similar problems today!

I’ve just realized that our dog food (Natural Balance) is made in the US, so I’m looking for something new, Canadian made, that I can get at Pet Valu, or that I can order online and be shipped to me direct from the manufacturer. I can see Acana is 🇨🇦, but wonder if there are any other options I should consider. Please let me know, if you have any ideas!!

Impulse control! Ted usually loves to clean my bowl after I’ve finished my morning cereal. But this morning I gave him a very clear ‘leave it’ order, and he has almost fallen asleep gazing at the bowl! Impulse control is something this pup has struggled with, so I’m pretty impressed.

People in Westboro, Wellington Village, Hintonburg, and other Kichissippi neighbourhoods, please be aware of this issue. This is perhaps the third Fb post I’ve seen recently, where a dog has picked up a piece of rat poison. I’m not entirely sure what’s going on. Some suggest that it could be related to drug use. Either way, please be aware, and watch what your dogs are sniffing at.
