Winston is thriving under the care of his amazing foster family. We are so thankful for the love and care he is receiving.
Our little Wobbly Winston had his health checkup today, which included blood work and his vaccines. As the veterinarian was examining him, our little dude seemed to think that she was initiating play and tried to turn it into a game! He is full of beans and keeps us laughing!
Here are our current and upcoming expenses for Winston: Checkup, vaccines, blood work, sterilization, consult with a neurologist, bag of food, and winter attire.
While we know that this is definitely not a great the greatest time to be asking for help, please know that we would be so appreciative!

Winston Churchill once said, âWe make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.â
While we at NDDR are so grateful to get to give of ourselves to so many deserving doggy souls, we are just as grateful to those of you who support us so that we can continue to do what we do!
So today, on Giving Tuesday, we want to thank you for giving us your support. Whether that has been in the form of a donation, sharing our posts, words of encouragement, or loving our dogs from a distance - please know that none of it goes unnoticed and we are so thankful!
Winston, the newest addition to our NDDR family, is a perfect example of why your support is so important to us. Already, after only four days of being with us, he is thriving under the care of his incredible foster mom, Jessica, and we are equipping him with everything he needs to do things just the same as any other dog.
On this day, if youâve been thinking about making a donation in honour of Giving Tuesday, any donation made to us will go towards the care of our determined and feisty little Wobbly Winston.

The moment weâve all been waiting for⊠Weâre thrilled to share that Patouf was discharged from the clinic yesterday evening. He is currently settling into his wonderful foster home, where his post-op after-care will continue. He is being spoiled and is in such great hands!
Patouf is in really great spirits and is very excited to get to know his foster family, which includes 3 doggy friends. Our boy is absolutely enamoured with Romie. It was definitely love at first sight for those two!
Now his foster familyâs biggest challenge is to keep our busy boy resting so he can recover as quickly as possible... Mr Patouf just wants to play all day long! We canât wait for him to be fully healed so that he can, and after all he has been through he definitely deserves to! That day will come soon, Patouf, we promise!
Patouf will have a follow-up at the clinic in a couple of weeks. Yesterday, before his departure, we paid his invoice, which was $2874. The incredible team at Clinique VĂ©tĂ©rinaire Cimon Loretteville did not charge us for a few things that would have significantly increased our bill, including Patoufâs lengthy hospital stay. We are very grateful!
Team NDDR, you, too, have generously come together to help us save this pupâs life. We are not out of the woods yet, though... while we have raised a significant portion of the amount owing for Patoufâs bill, there is still a little ways left to go, so if youâd like to help us reach our fundraising goal, here are the ways you can help us do so:

This is crucial for us as we have an abundance of other expenses.
LOOK AT THAT HAPPY BOY!! Nine days ago he was hours away from being euthanized. NDDR did it! You did it! The team at Clinique Cimon did it! Together, we ALL came together and saved Patoufâs life! THANK YOU!

NDDR would like to welcome a six month old puppy whom we suspect has Cerebellar Hypoplasia, to ensure he receives the care he needs. Whether that be through us, or through finding a rescue who specialize in dogs with CH.
What is CH? Cerebellar Hypoplasia is a condition in which the cerebellum of the brain doesnât develop properly. The cerebellum controls balance, coordination, and fine motor skills, and when it is not developed properly it can cause animals to âwobbleâ when they walk. Basically, they are uncoordinated. They can still be active and can still have a great quality of life. While there is no cure or treatment for this condition, affected dogs can ABSOLUTELY live long, happy, and pain-free lives.
Although not seen in this video, the puppy can walk, heâs just very uncoordinated. Our hope, if we can take him in, is to get him a wheelchair with front wheels for outdoor walks.
We would also need an experienced foster. While you donât need to have experience with CH, we do need to make sure he ends up with someone who is comfortable caring for a dog with special needs. Please send us an email at [email protected].

Weâll never forget this day. It was the day Charlotte was finally safe, and the day she too knew she was finally safe.
She was exhausted. Her back paws were covered in sores, scars and blood from dragging them around the streets, and half of her tail was necrotic.
One of the first things we noticed was that Charlotte couldnât lie down on her own. Instead, she remained in this sitting position. When she arrived to her foster home in Morocco, it was as though all of her fears melted away and she knew she could sleep without any worries. Watching her fall asleep in this position made us both so sad and happy. Sad for the countless days she struggled this way, and happy that those days were over at last.
As you all know, Charlotte is now able to walk and run and is living her best life in Canada with one of NDDRâs co-founders. You can keep up with her on Instagram @benniethedoubleamputee.
