What are the 3 first words that come to mind when you think of your dog: Sweet, curious, intelligent
Provide a description of your foster dog and the ideal home for them: Ernie is looking for a home that can match his playful energy, intelligence, and affectionate nature. He would thrive with a single person, couple, or family with children 6+, as he is still learning how to interact gently and can be mouthy like most puppies. He is a social, bouncy pup who loves to be the center of attention and enjoys engaging with his people, whether through play, training, or snuggles.
As a young puppy, Ernie will need continued training, patience, and structure to help him grow into a well-mannered adult dog. He is already showing great intelligence and eagerness to learn, so his ideal adopter should be committed to reinforcing good habits, setting boundaries, and providing consistent positive reinforcement. A home that enjoys interactive play and mental stimulation will be best for him, as he loves learning and working on new commands.
Ernie would do well in a home with a secure yard for playtime or with an adopter who is committed to giving him plenty of outdoor time and exercise. While he’s still figuring out walks, he enjoys being outside and will likely become a great walking or hiking companion as he grows.
While Ernie is crate-trained, he thrives on routine and benefits from a calm environment when settling in. His adopter should be prepared to continue helping him feel comfortable and secure in his crate and reinforce his house-training progress.
Overall, Ernie is an affectionate, curious, and highly trainable pup who will make a wonderful addition to a loving home.
