I've wanted to say this for a while now...
So I have been a babysitter/caregiver/nanny now for almost 18 years and it is most definitely not an easy job like some people think it is but I still LOVE what I do.
One thing though that makes it tough for me and many others is when the parents and us are not on the same page. Not only does it make our job insanely hard and difficult but it sends mix signals not only to us but to the children. If you have specific guide lines, or rules or things you want done, or how you "discipline" your children you need to let us know so we are ALL on the same page! I can not stress that enough!
I've heard some hurtful things from not only the kids but from the parents too and that definitely does not make me wanna continue to do what I'm passionate about.
So just for future reference please make sure you and your caregiver of your children are on the same page so things can go smoothly😊
*yes I know daycares are different*
