Beautiful Balto is 14 years old and is not a fan of the bath. His owners have tried everything, including medication. With the advice of their veterinarian, it’s now best to skip the bath but I wasn’t sure what that looked like for me as his groomer.
Today I thought what the heck, let’s try something new and see if it works. First I sprayed him all over with warm water and coat spray. Next I blow dried him on the floor where he’s safe and comfortable. I truly had no idea if it would work - but it did! 👏
Being an intuitive dog groomer means meeting dogs where they’re at, especially respectful seniors like Balto. He remained calm through his entire grooming today and with a couple modifications, he left feeling amazing.🐕
