Who out there hasn't experienced the absolute chaos that ensues after someone comes to the door? This is something I'm working on with our Mr. Sherlock so our guests (when we're allowed to have them again) aren't intimidated by his massive stature!

Meet Reggie. At almost 2 years old it can be intimidating when an aggressive incident happens. Reggie has been with me for about a week now. When he came to me he had bitten a vet tech and was severely under socialized with other dogs. To date, he has become one of my biggest sucks and is slowly learning how to interact with other adult dogs. My best employee, Loki (a Husky mix) has been helping Reggie feel comfortable around other adult dogs. We've still got a ways to go, but he gets better with every step we take. First week of June we have a meet and greet at the vet clinic to help Reggie see it as a more positive place. Keep up the great work Reggie!! 🥰❤

Hey Everyone,

Some of you may remember Charlie. I was working with him a little while ago. Charlie’s family has decided to find him a home that will be more suitable for him.

Charlie knows basic commands such as: sit, down (have to point at the floor), paw, stay, come, he can even jump on command! He is used to sitting and waiting for his food to be prepared. He waits for it anxiously piling the drool on the floor.

Medically he is up to date on his shots and has one undescended testicle.

Charlie should be placed in a home where there are no young children, he needs his own quiet place to lay down, uninterrupted. He has resource guarding that still needs to be worked on. He is good to have the run of the house at night as he will sleep through and not destroy anything. During the day he likes to find toys to chew on so it’s important to make sure they are picked up!

Charlie is great with other dogs and has been well socialized thus far. If you’re interested in providing Charlie with the environment he needs and working with him with his resource guarding concerns, please reach out to me. Please note there is an adoption fee.

Recently I had the opportunity to work with this stunning boy, Charlie. Charlie was having issues with resource guarding and aggression. Today I recieved a wonderful update that Charlie is doing fantastic! He still has work to do, but he has already made leaps and bounds! Way to go Charlie! 🥰❤

Had the opportunity to work with this gorgeous girl tonight! Meet Jess. She is a high energy 7 month old who goes absolutely bonkers around anyone outside of her mom and dad (sometimes even with them!). Tonight we worked on several skills that will help her become the well behaved baby that her family is looking for. Love this girl, she is wicked smart! And after our training session, she is also pooped lol

One of the biggest struggles these days is socialization. A lot of people have gotten pups during COVID and since we have had to stay away from those we love to keep everyone safe, the pups may have developed some bad habits. This handsome boy is Beringer. We had a video training session today to help this guy learn how to calmly greet guests at the door. Rewards based training is excellent for Beringer as he is very food oriented. Welcome to our Claws and Effect family Beringer! It has been absolutely crazy busy in this house! We now have fifteen puppies that are nearly all two weeks old. They are absolutely precious and though it makes it harder to keep up with posting, it gives us so much more to be grateful for. Later this weekend I will be posting some precious faces that are a bit older and looking for their forever homes! This handsome devil is named Loki. He had been using his dad's basement as his elimination spot. Last week was his follow up appointment, and through a lot of work in shifting how he uses his spaces, Loki's dad has started to shift Loki's view of the basement. There has been a lot of positive change and Loki is very proud when his dad comes home and he knows there is no mess!
