Better Dog took over Riverain Park in Ottawa to give our reactive dogs a shot at something big—real-world training with a real community. For these dogs, it wasn’t just any walk in the park. Led by Jon and Nancy, we got right to it. Dog owners worked shoulder to shoulder, teaching their pups how to handle the world around them without losing their cool. One by one, each dog found that calm spot, and when they did, Jon and Nancy helped them join the group, step by step. Suddenly, dogs who’d been dodging trouble their whole lives were out there, striding along with a new confidence.

🐾 What an Incredible Day at Aylmer Off-Leash Park! 🐾
We had an amazing time hosting our special training event for reactive dogs and their dedicated owners. Over 20 dogs and more than 30 owners joined us to learn, grow, and transform their pups into calmer companions. It was a day filled with learning, support, and community building.
