Last week, these trailblazers began their 8-month fellowship journey with workshops led by Ashley Richard (Strategic Planning) and Tim Neal (Brand Identity & Engagement). They also connected with Greg Yuel, who makes this fellowship possible, and had headshots taken by Matt Ramage.

Yesterday four brave riders set out to ride from the old Indian residential school site in Delmas to King Hill in North Battleford. Approximately 32kms.

The riders started at 11am and arrived just after 7pm. More than 8 hours of riding for their ancestors, the survivors and the children who never made it home.

The weather wasn’t the greatest. The winds were strong and the sun poked out every now and then to provide them with warmth.

Nothing was stopping these four individuals and they made it just at sun down!

It was powerful & emotional to see such bravery. I am very proud of every single one of them!!

The horses were amazing! Can’t forget to thank them!!! 🧡❤️

I’m very grateful to be able to come back to my territory to present on how horses have helped me in my journey. (Cheryl)

Tyler’s presentation was beyond phenomenal. The passion he has for these beautiful horses is remarkable.

Introduced our baby Tayo at 2 months old to Sonny our gelding! Sonny is full of spirit and he kept walking all over the back yard when he knew baby was near him he instantly stopped and felt his energy! It was amazing to watch Sonny change very quickly & be gentle around the baby!! &sonny

𝐓𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐬.

Think of our basics needs, like shelter, running water, food, and if you’re fortunate bathing, brushing your hair and teeth. And if you’re absolutely blessed socialising and being apart of society.
Now, imagine if even one of those things were taken from you? Say brushing your teeth or socialising do you think you’d be able to perform in your daily life to the 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲?

We wouldn’t expect our children to function without their basic needs met and we shouldn’t expect our horses to either.

More often than not, horses are stalled for hours on end if not permanently and only get out for exercise, competitions and more exercise. Those horses basic needs are not being met. 𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞.

𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞, 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐝, 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠.

It’s our responsibility to make sure our horses basic needs are met, no matter who we are or what we do with our horses.

Summer is here!!! Mistatim Healing is finishing up with a group from Little Pine today!!

We had teachings with big & small horses and hands-on as well!!
