With the weather dipping below freezing, we'd like to share some cold weather safety tips for you and your pet!

❄️ If it's too cold for you, it's likely too cold for your pet. Keep cats indoors and have shorter outdoor bathroom breaks and walks for dogs. Put a snazzy coat on your dog to keep them warm when outside.

❄️ Put booties on your dog's feet to keep their paws warm and to protect them from ice-melting salt. You can use a pet-safe balm to heal cracked paws if they do come in contact with salt.

❄️ Be aware of antifreeze and certain ice melts as they are toxic to pets. Be sure to thoroughly clean up any antifreeze spills.

❄️ Keep your dog on leash. Dogs can lose their scent in the snow and could become lost. More dogs are lost during the winter than any other season, so make sure your dog always wears an ID tag or has a microchip.

Keep your pets safe, warm, and happy this winter!

Looking for a fun pal who loves to play followed by some serious snuggling? Milo the pug is the one for you! And at only FIVE years old he's got a ton of adventures ahead.

-loves to play- toys are the best!
-loves to snuggle and cuddle- he's a pug- of course he's an expert.
-great on leash and loves his walks
-up for an adventure
-very happy dog- loves people of all ages (children too)
-great with other dogs of all sizes (currently living with great danes)
-good to stay alone while you work after a little howl of sadness first
-house trained
-sleeps in bed with his people
-travels well in the car
-knows "sit", "down" and "paw"
-good with cats (according to previous family)
-medical- a healthy and neutered boy.

We have just a handful of winterized cat shelters available for purchase. These shelters help keep outdoor and feral cats safe and warm in the winter. They are just $25 each and could make all the difference for an animal in need during these chilly months!

Blue- 2 years (just a baby)- male- 20 lbs

Blue, who is just a baby at only TWO years old is ready to find his forever. And if you're someone who loves all pug snuggles (and those hilarious antics too) then Blue- he might just be the one for you.

-loves to snuggle and cuddle- level expert right here!
-loves his walks and is great on leash (sometimes he will bark with excitement)
-enjoys playing- tug, balls, all kinds of play
-great with other dogs of all sizes
-great with children of all ages
-good with cats (according to previous family)
-housetrained.
-Blue is okay to stay alone when you go to work but will do a howl at first when you go and then settles in.
-good to travel and car rides.
-sleeps in bed with his people

True or False: Dogs sweat through their paws! 🐾
The answer is... TRUE! Dogs primarily cool off by panting, but they also have sweat glands in their paw pads that help with temperature regulation. Isn’t that fascinating?

Looking for a foster or foster to adopt home for sweet Holly girl.

Ideal home would be with at least one person who works from home. She is great with other dogs and kids. Not tested with cats and cats not recommended due to her injured eye.

We are looking for someone who lives in Toronto or the GTA who can take her to and from appointments in Toronto. She will need to have an eye enucleation (removal), so someone who can commit to caring for her while she undergoes and heals from that procedure and eventually a spay is a must. She currently needs 2 medicated baths per week and needs daily medication. She also will need support as she works on her house training.
