Balou- 10 years- male- 100 pounds

The most majestic gentle giant is finally ready for you to adopt. And he can't wait to meet you. His only must- SNUGGLES!

From his fosters: Balou is an amazing dog and a wonderful house guest. A very easy dog!

-loves to snuggle and is very affectionate
-a very calm and chill house guest with great house manners
-house trained
-loves taking walks, is a joy on leash. He's super well behaved.
-Good to stay alone while you work
-great in the car
-loves the snow
-excellent mobility- great on stairs
-loves to play and chase a ball
-he understands lay down, sit, paw, wait, and eat (so polite -- he will not eat until he is told to). Very gentle.
-loves human attention and often wants to be the centre of it.
-listens very well and eager to learn
-good with cats (lives with one)
-good with other dogs (lives with one)
-meets new people well
-sometimes he can be protective of his high value items in a new environment with other dogs (he's fine with people). He currently lives well with a cat and pug.
-at night sleeps on a dog bed in his foster's bedroom and enjoys napping on the sofa during the day.
Medical- Balou is a very healthy boy, with great mobility and neutered- good teeth too!
It should be noted that Balou is VERY scared of the vet clinic (nowhere else) so working with our trainer he has been muzzle trained for vet visits only as a precaution. He is otherwise a very snuggly and gentle dog. Our trainer notes that Balou is a LOVELY dog who is easy to work with and handles very well so it is ONLY in the setting of a vet clinic where he is scared.
