While it is sad to see Peavey Mart shut down, it doesn’t mean you can’t get your Purina feed! Empower Equestrian Supply is a small family owned company offering competitive prices on anything Purina as well as MadBarn, Redmonds, AlfaTec, SunCured, Cluckin Good, SweetPro, Camelina Oil,Burwash, Canadian Horsewear, Econets and so much more ! Plus we also offer delivery (in some cases free with a minimum order, but otherwise at a very reasonable rate) and pallet deliveries. Setup monthly deliveries to avoid running out of feed.

For those that have round bales in nets… make sure to check them with this warm weather going into freezing temps. I had to pull a couple of mine off cause the hay is damp, when that freezes they won’t be able pull it through the net 🥶🫶🏻

What do I feed my miniature horse?

Minis require a similar diet to a standard horse, just smaller scale. They are,however, prone to metabolic diseases,laminitis, obesity and dental issues. High fiber, balanced vitamins and minerals, salt and probiotics are a must.

Forage is an obvious source of fiber, but beet pulp and soyhulls are also beneficial. These are called super fibers because they contain even more fermentable material per gram than hays and are therefore excellent energy sources. High-fiber commercial products, such as Purinas SuperFibra line, use super fibers because they pack more calories and are manageable during feed manufacture.
