Having pups for sale?
- What do you do if you have puppies you can’t sell? Well, that would depend on what type of breeder you are and how you view the puppies you produce. Some breeders see it as a nuisance if they have unsold puppies that they can’t “get rid of” after a certain age. We don’t often have puppies that aren’t sold by 8 weeks and often our litters are mostly sold before they are born. But when we do have the opportunity to keep puppies after 8 weeks we like to see it as an opportunity to spend extra time assessing pups and working with them. Under normal circumstances we would send all the pups home at 8 weeks and not see many of them again except through pictures, but what a blessing to be able to keep the majority of the pups in our last couple litters for an extra few months. It truly is wonderful to see the results of the years of hard work paying off. These are some of the best pups we’ve ever produced both in Conformation and Temperament and even as some of them have gone to new homes over the last few weeks we will enjoy every last minute we have with the ones who remain.
