Anyone have stuff to donate this week!?

Starting 2025 in the best way I can think of: donating all those items that no longer serve us and putting them to better use!✨
For this week only I will be offering TWO FREE DONATION RUNS for the community of Armstrong!🪄
I would love to start making community connections and what better way to start?
I will pick up clothes, toys, furniture (size depending), kitchen ware, any Christmas gifts that weren't a hit etc! If it is in good condition (and cleaned) and you no longer have a use for it, I am here to help!✨

Please message me for details and to arrange pick up!

Have a wonderful week everyone!🧚🏻‍♀️

After 2 years we are finally raising our boarding prices for 2025!
For Holiday rates we identify as all star holidays and their associated weekends - for example a stat Monday would include the Saturday and Sunday day rates as well.
Over Christmas we identify the Holiday period as December 20th - January 6th. This is our two week break as well.
We are also being more diligent with our pick up and drop off times!
Please drop off your dog between 8am-9am for boarding. This is so we can start your dogs stay with us with a hike! We find that dogs who arrive later in the day have a harder time settle than those dropped off in the morning!
For pick up, ideally between 3pm-5pm. Alternate times for pick up can be arranged upon request.
As before, we charge a day rate for boarding so it does not change your bill what time you pick up your dog😊

Thank you so much for your continued support of our programs! We cannot wait to see you all in the New Year!✨

We are out!✨

Kyle and I want to thank everyone for such an amazing year! It has been our best year yet in many different avenues so thank you so much to the wonderful community; all the people and dogs who made that possible!💫
Crystalee will still be running our pack hikes program over the majority of the holidays and we have a handful of boarding dogs at the house for the holidays but other than that we are officially on pause until January 6th! All inquiries and emails (unless they are urgent) will be answered in the New Year!

Thank you so much for your continued support over this year - we have had a blast!✨
Merry Christmas and we will see you bright and early in 2025 for another fantastic year!
Love,
Flo & Kyle

I saw a post recently created by that resonated with me. It said that dog trainers cannot just fix your problems, they are coaches and to make a real change it is up to you.
This definitely struck a cord for me as a trainer because it is deeply rooted in me to “fix things” and cases and figuring out the best training plans for people genuinely can keep my brain racing at night.
But it’s true - the REAL change and progress is made when the person takes ownership and responsibility for their dog.
Just as though you have the best work out/ fitness instructor in the world but you STILL aren’t the weight/look/level you want to be until you actually get up in the morning with the INTENTION to make a change in yourself. No one can do that for you.

The best clients, the best dogs come from people who truly truly try, listen to and follow advice and put their best foot forward each and every day with their dog. Thats where true growth happens 🌱

And that’s a wrap!💥

Shelby went home today to her wonderful family after her 3 week Confident Dog program. We worked on Shelby’s overall confidence, her leash walking and her recall and we made some great strides! Shelby is off on a road tripping adventure next where she can hopefully put all her new skills into good use!

Thank you for letting me work with your lovely girl she is welcome back anytime!💕

That concludes our Board and Train program for 2024. Now booking starting February 1st, 2025. Please get in touch if you are interested!

✨EXCITING NEWS✨

We have lots of exciting news starting December 1st, 2024!
First, we are proud and excited for .k9 Ashton who, although she will be leaving the Pack Hike program, her focus for 2025 will be more geared towards training - we are excited to watch and support her on going journey in the industry!💥

Secondly, we are very excited to welcome Crystalee as our new Pack Hiker!🌿 Crys comes to us with her 3 dogs Pippin, Joule and Theia and we are SO excited to welcome her to the team! She will be continuing to shadow Ashton over November, and start hiking solo starting in December!

💫With this addition, we are thrilled to announce that our Pack Hike program will now be covering Lake Country as well as Vernon and Armstrong in our areas of service!💫

Details can be found on our website or via private messages!

Andddd lastly, we will be offering our Full Adventure Day option starting in December. This will include pick up and drop off and two 1.5 hour pack hikes! You want a sleepy pup at the end of the day? This is for you!✨
Details for this service can also be found on our website or inquiries made via email or private messages.

We have officially been in business for 2 years now and we could not be happier working with you all in varying capacities! We love what we do🥰

And filling our last spot for 2024, welcome Shelby to our Board and Train program! 🎉 💖

Shelby’s wishlist includes:
💟General Confidence Building
💟On leash manners
💟Being calm and well behaved in public settings
💟Recall

I am super excited about this one as these are all my personal favourite things to work on! Shelby has previously completed another Board and Train with an R+ trainer which I love as she has excellent foundations which we can now build on and fine tune.

It’s also very neat to be able to work with a doodle as they are a breed I have only ever boarded or done private training with, so getting this deep dive with one is filling my curiosity craving right up! Also, getting to work with a Shelby as my last dog of the year is obviously getting my heart strings 🥹

Stay tuned for Shelby’s progress!💖

Congratulations Maggie!🍂

After 21 days of our Confident Dog Board + Train program, Maggie went home yesterday!

Maggie has been a very interesting dog to work with - the reactivity her mom described prior to her stay became more evident the more she got comfortable with us, so we had the opportunity to sort of back chain her training a bit.

Being able to walk by other dogs, people and moving objects was the primary struggle for her owner Shawna as well as her general confidence around other dogs and people so this was our focus for her stay!

During her go home session we did a block walk that was previously avoided due to the amount of triggers it had in its duration, which was a huge win for Maggie, and a huge step forward in her training! Maggie is incredibly connected to her people and feels every feeling and worry through the leash and being the emotional dog she is, this is then intensified. Shawna did a beautiful handling job and Maggie’s response to her confidence was evident and amazing to see!

Training, just like anything is rarely linear, there are wins and losses, good days and bad days and it usually looks different to how you think it is going to go but that is the beauty of it🫶🏻

Maggie will be continuing with private training to keep working on her owners handling skills and helping Maggie navigate her emotions on leash!

Don’t we all love a happy ending!?🥹

Bond found his forever family today and oh my goodness it could not be more meant to be!😍 Bond will be starting his new life on his own acreage with a built in Aussie brother to play and grow up with, and a wonderful family to call his own! Back country trail hikes, trips to the lake and hanging with the family’s extended doggy family, he is going to be living his dream life!

We have had multiple foster dogs over the years and it’s always bitter sweet saying good bye but we are also so honoured and humbled to have played a part in Bonds story and although that chapter is over for us and him, the whole book is full of adventures ahead, just waiting for him to turn the page💫

Thank you to the wonderful for helping and supporting his journey! We forever appreciate you!

Have a fabulous life buddy, we will always be your biggest cheerleaders!🫶🏻

🖤RAVEN🖤

It has taken me a while to write this post as we have had a lot going on with this dog and I didn’t feel ready until we had a more informed picture to share.

As many of you know, Raven (literally) found us a few weeks ago, we tracked down her owner who were not in a position to take her back so we officially took her on as a foster dog. Raven’s full story can be found on her highlight on our profile.🫶🏻

Raven has been diagnosed with EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency) which is a common genetic condition in German Shepherds meaning they lack the appropriate digestive enzymes in their systems to properly absorb food. The solution is simple but lifelong in that she will need added enzyme supplementation to each meal for the rest of her life.

💫We are working with and are so grateful for their proactive approach with helping figure our girl out and get her on the right path forward!💫

We are determined to get Raven on the right track and her health is the most important place to start! Due to her extreme malnourishment and trauma caused by her prior situation, we have yet to see the full extent of Ravens personality but so far she is sweet and VERY people oriented and friendly. She prefers the company of male dogs and has been enjoying off leash pack hikes with us. We have so far done e collar and muzzle training with her to help advocate for her preferences and space while giving her the exercise and attention her breed craves.

Raven is not yet available for adoption but will be in the future to the right home.🏡

We have started “Raising Funds for Raven” donations to help her get her life back on track. Her vet bills and food are stacking up and now she will also have on going supplements and medication. We want her to succeed and are determined to support her journey and any additional help and funds go a long way towards helping us/her accomplish those goals!💫
THANK YOU THANK YOU to everyone who has already donated, your donations went towards extensive bloodwork that resulted in the EPI diagnosis!
