Looking for a foster asap for Mena in Cold Lake for 1-2 weeks!

We still aren't sure what her x-rays mean. We redid them and they are similar with a somewhat smaller digestive tract showing. It could just be that she was very filled with p**p. She was put on antibitiotics to be cautious, and her breathing has improved. She is otherwise happy and seemingly healthy. She will go for additional testing in the coming wks when she moves on to our partner rescue.

She will come with a crate and food and sleeps quietly in the crate. For the most part, goes to the bathroom outside if let out regularly. She is GREAT with kids and very gentle but she isnt the best with cats as she will chase them if they move around her too quickly. Mena is small at only knee height, and approx 6 mths old.

Thank you to everyone who donated to our girl, MENA! 🐶

We still aren't sure what's wrong with her as she is still eating, drinking, and using the bathroom. Very unusal x-ray, not a diaphragmatic hernia, not a blockage. We go back to the vet on Monday to speak with him about the X-ray as he was out of town yesterday, and we were only able to get the radiographs done. The only possibility thrown out there right now was internal abcess so, she will require further treatment. To continue to help Mena please etransfer [email protected] 💙✨️

UPDATE: Thank you! We received enough donations to cover this group 💜🩷 If you want to continue to donate their is another group in the area really needing donations at this time. Northern Transitional Dog Rescue If you want to help dogs and pups just like our mama here.

This afternoon, we were contacted about a mom and her pups in a dire situation. Mom is very skinny, and most of the pups are as well. One of the babies even has a badly frostbitten tail.

Lucky we found a foster to hold them over for the night, and a kind volunteer to drive them to Edmonton tmw to ARF Alberta - Animal Rescue Foundation who will be taking this mom and babies.

We are asking for donations to cover our volunteer transporters' gas funds! Likely needing $80-100 and also $60 for their food and puppy pads for their overnight stay.

This sad little boy was found in the reserves warm housing materials quonset over a week ago. One of the kind workers has been caring for him during this time, and he has improved a bit putting on a bit of weight.

He REALLY needs to get into a foster home, and it would be best for him to just go directly to Edmonton or Calgary with our partner rescue, Pups with Soul Rescue !!

Is anyone coming from Pierceland area to Meadow Lake early tmw morning, Friday January 10th??

This is Rousey. 💜 She was spayed by Northern Tails in 2020 when she was only 6 months old. She spends most of her days inside, sleeping on the couch in her remote community. Her family took her for a walk to the community store because their vehicle recently broke down. Rousey was attacked by local dogs in an area she never ventures. She has a 3 inch gash in her cheek. This happened Sunday night and now today, Thursday it's incredibly infected.

All options to get her here or atleast antibiotics to her an hour from Meadow Lake has failed. We now no longer have a vet in Meadow Lake for tmw.

The estimate from Centre Vet in Cold Lake was $800-1000 to help Rousey and most likely to save her life!

If you can please donate to Rouseys care, we will make sure she gets to the vet tmw and has the necessary medical intervention needed to help her!

We couldn't find anyone to take our babies and mom tmw to Edmonton and we cannot miss this as we will lose placement for them. The puppies are 8 wks old now and they need to move on to be vetted and find homes. Also passed 8 weeks, littermates can start to fight amongst each other. We also NEED space for new intakes. So many calls for extremely pregnant dogs. Tomorrow, I will just have to bring them myself. If anyone could donate gas funds it would be so appreciated! 🙏😊 Our etransfer is [email protected]

Even if we had fosters for these poor things, we financially cannot intake any of these pups or dogs right now. After the recent parvo bills and no donations this week, no supply of food to feed these animals. The additional cost of transporting them around, flea shampoo, dewormer and etc. We filled their bellies yesterday and hopefully, soon we can figure it out. 💔 One of these pups has a little deformed leg. 🥺🥺 If you want to donate to these guys so we can bring them into care. please etransfer [email protected]

Our lil girl is here! So far she's doing good. She's only 2-3 days old as she still had her unbilical cord nub. We have already purchased her a heated heartbeat teddy, formula for a day or so, and paid for the rides gas to bring her from Waterhen. Orphan pups and rescueing in general can become very expensive. A full tin of formula is $20, she will also need a lot of paper towel and new bottles as the nipple hole on ours has become too large with use on older orphan pups in the past. We are looking for a sponsor to donate $50, If you could help, that would be amazing! 🙏 Our etransfer is [email protected].

Just a couple days of good meds, lots of food, and water, and this little girl is feeling herself ! 😊🥰 Under all those scabs and flaking is a beautiful brown husky girl, and in a few weeks, she will be fluffy and beautiful again! Thank you, everyone, for your donations! We still have one more pup out there suffering and will try to get him by the wkend! We are looking for rides to Edmonton or Calgary for some dogs and newborn pups in the meantime if anyone is able to help! We are also still in need of donations to finish the inside of our kennel building. Winter is coming, and we need it done before it gets too cold. If you can do so at [email protected] 💗🐶
