Loving Home Needed for Congo ASAP!
Meet Congo, a one-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier who deserves a second chance. Congo came to us from Flying Dust First Nations after being abandoned by his owner. He’s already overcome so much, including escaping a tragic fate of a bullet.
Congo is a big boy, weighing in at around 90 pounds, and he thinks he’s a lap puppy! He’s incredibly sweet, loves cuddles, and is a real smush who craves affection. While he’s good-natured he just doesnt know his size yet, he does have a high prey drive and isn’t cat-friendly. He’s also not currently good with other dogs, though we’re hopeful that with time and the right environment, he’ll continue to improve after his recent neuter. He has already shown great improvements on walks ignoring neighboring dogs as we pass.
Congo has been in our care for nearly three months, and the space is limited. He’s become lonely and needs more attention and a loving home to truly thrive. He would do best in a home with older children due to his size and energy level. A foster home would also be a wonderful temporary solution.
