Some of you have already had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Dani, but we would like to officially introduce her to you all!

Dr. Dani graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2010. After graduation, she moved to Australia to work with horses and complete an internship in equine surgery and anesthesia.

During her time there, she discovered her passion for small animal practice and the joy of helping pets and their families.
Dr. Dani’s professional interests include surgery, emergency medicine and geriatric care.

Originally from Brock Township, Dr. Dani has returned to Canada with her family and is thrilled to be back home. She is dedicated to making animals’ lives happier and healthier and enjoys embracing her favorite Canadian pastimes.

Outside of the clinic, you’ll find Dr. Dani hiking with her family, walking her pointer Salty, doing Cross Fit, or working her way through a towering stack of books.

Please help us in welcoming Dr. Dani to our BCVS team!

We hope you all had a great Halloween!!

Hi everyone!

With August quickly approaching, we wanted to share the latest media release from CDC for dogs traveling to the USA.

CDC rules for dogs entering the USA after August 1, 2024 from a rabies-free or low-risk Country:

Owner is required to fill out a CDC Dog Import Form.

Once CDC Dog import form is filled out, a receipt will be emailed to the owner.

The receipt is valid for 6 months from when it’s issued and can be used for multiple entries unless the dog visits a high-risk country during that time.

CDC recommends completing import form a few days or up to six months before travel from a dog rabies-free or low-risk country, just to be prepared.

In addition to having a receipt for a CDC Dog Import Form:
• Dogs must appear healthy upon arrival.
• Dogs must be at least 6 months old at time of entry or return to the U.S.
• Dogs must have a microchip that can be detected with a universal scanner to identify them.

Reminder: Proof of Rabies is required for entry into Canada, so dog will still need to have their Rabies up to date and a valid vaccine certificate.

Please visit CDC or CFIA website for more details and updates!
