Figured it was time to introduce myself!!
Hi everyone, my name is Reilly Mackay and I have recently moved to Kamloops with my two mares, Holly and Peanut, and crazy ‘cow’ dog Indie in tow. For the past two years we have been living out at the Alkali Lake [division] of Douglas Lake Ranch and while it was hard to leave that little piece of paradise, it was time for some new scenery. We are excited about our new adventure and look forward to getting to know the wider Kamloops equine community.
Last year I took some time away from the ranch and completed my Equine Therapy certification at HJW Equine Studies. It was the experience of a lifetime and gave me a whole new insight into the fundamental structure of horses. It went so well that this fall I was invited to assist teach the course alongside Helen. I have focussed my training on spinal manipulation and chiropractic adjustments as well as acupressure and massage.
I’m very passionate about helping animals feel their best. Whether it’s daily well-being or peak performance you’re after, it starts deep within the animal’s bone structure. I’d love the opportunity to put my hands on your horse and work together to improve/ease their body movement.
