This deer skull of mine has some interesting tooth wear and decay! Most of her teeth are so worn down that they are smooth and cupped. Two of her molars appear to have had a serious infection, so bad that it ate away at the bone. A good reminder to brush your teeth 😬

Here to give you the advertised 'Weird' -- excited to say that I'll be a vendor at the upcoming MTL Punk Rock Flea Market! This will be my first time vending at the punk rock flea. I was supposed to be a vendor in the ill fated March 2020 edition 🙃. I'm glad to get another go at it! Come visit me at the market Sunday October 15th 11-6. It's cicada season! Cicada aren't as prolific in Nova Scotia as the are in the other provinces I've lived in, but I heard them sing for the first time yesterday. Hoping to find at least a few exoskeletons here this summer! The photo is of a freshly hatched adult I spotted last year in Montréal, the city where they fall from the skies 💚

Juncos have made a nest right outside my cabin! They seem to have dug a hole into a loose dirt wall. I had no idea Juncos nest on the ground but apparently they are primarily ground birds 🖤. I'm not sure if they have eggs in there but I strongly suspect it! I just have to keep my dog far away 😥
