We’re looking for community growers to add Probiotics for Plants Worm Manure to their gardens over the next few weeks!

Plants in healthy microbiome soil produce more flowers, meaning more delicious and nutritious produce from the garden with improved yields through August & September! 🌸🧺🍎🥕🥒

For 10+ yrs, there’s been 1 person to credit as BOTH our earliest adopter & strongest supporter…

Regenerative Growing Principles are cover (cropping) the globe with hope for a brighter future! Diversity is key to the transition away from toxic, fossil fuel chemicals that hurt biology (yep - that includes us!) ☣️

I’ve got you (and your soil!) covered with natural growing amendments made from up-cycled food waste. Keep your roots in the ground AT ALL TIMES and work with Mother Nature to feed soil microbes, who will feed your plants and ultimately you! 🦠🌱🍅

👻 Beware the dreaded fruit stickers! 😈 they may be small, but have the power to haunt your compost…trust me!😱🙈

They take years and years to break down, and are not eaten by worms.

Best to remove them before composting your peels. And avoid them in the first place if you can!

Signs of Spring! 🌱

We still have snow covering the gardens outside but all my indoor plants are confident spring has sprung! So much new growth everywhere I look!

Does anyone else run around to each plant every morning whispering words of encouragement and congratulations for new leaves coming out? Positive reinforcement is so key! (A sprinkle of Probiotics for Plants Worm Manure doesn’t hurt either!)🤓

I’m looking forward to returning to campus and meeting with students in the (new!) Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems program, who share my passion for regenerative growing! 🌱❤️‍🔥🌳

Anyone else existing *solely* on toasted tomato sandwiches these days? 🍅🍅🍅 Totally healthy, right??

My preferred “recipe”? (Ok, recipe is generous…)
-Toasted English Muffin
-Generous layer of Mayo
-Thick slice of homegrown tomato
-Sprinkle of salt
-Lots of ground pepper

And better make an extra one for me while you’re at it! I’ll be over shortly!

The summertime heat is here and your plants should be loving it! Make sure you have a good layer of mulch to protect your soil, like on this flower bed, to hold moisture in during this heatwave!

Hold off on watering until the late evening though, when plants will be benefit from a good long drink of water - in fact, we all will!

Enjoy the Ontario heat!

After a COVID hiatus, we’re pleased to share that your favourite regenerative growing products are back in stock at the Evergreen Garden Shop! Both our 800g Worm Manure and our Soil-Aid Tea Kits (DIY liquid plant food) are now available, with more items coming as the weather improves and their outdoor shopping space opens!
