This is something we heard from one of our customers recently. but we know it’s not uncommon. In fact, it’s why we started Mo’ Greens. The problem we saw with kibble is that so many of them are marketed as “natural” and “healthy” when in fact they’re often made with meat byproducts, artificial ingredients, chemical preservatives and highly processed. We knew there was a healthier way - so that’s why we use natural ingredients, whole cuts of real meat, and non-GMO produce. All sourced from Canada. For healthier food, and healthier dogs.

Fresh food is the healthier option when it comes to feeding your dog. But why fresh, and what will you and your dog notice?

1 Slow cooked for better (and more) nutrition

Each of our ingredients - all whole foods - are kettle cooked individually at optimal conditions. This means each ingredient is cooked just the right amount, preserving more nutrition and flavour. Other cooked foods are cooked together, so most ingredients are overcooked. And kibble is so over processed with heat and chemical preservatives that much of the nutrition is Cooked away - but it’s necessary for it to last on store shelves for years.

2 Easy digestion
Because of our slow cook method, important enzymes naturally in the food for digestion aren’t lost, like they often are with kibble. This means our fresh food is much easier to digest - and capture all the nutrition from - than conventional kibble. More, and higher quality nutrition = best health

3 Improved skin and coat

We get asked this question a lot: How is our fresh food different from traditional dry foods? Where do we begin!⁠

First, we have to be clear: traditional dry kibbles are classified as pet "feed". Mo' Greens is "food", and that's because it's made of, simply, food. It looks, tastes and smells like something you would want to eat yourself. Those dry kibbles? Not so much. ⁠
⁠
How else are we different from dry kibbles?⁠
- Human Grade: we only use quality, whole ingredients, from our whole cuts of 100% Canadian meats to our fresh fruits and veggies. Kibbles? They often use meats that would never be fit for human consumption, including expired and scrap cuts, 'pink slimes', and meat from diseased or dead animals (yes, this can include roadkill). ⁠

- Cooked in CFA-inspected kitchens, right here in Toronto. The same kitchen that makes food for humans. No massive factories for overprocessing brown kibble. ⁠

It’s dinner time - what’s your dog eating?
