Please meet Chocolate, an adorable young Shih Tzu who has had a very difficult past. He and his female companion were kept in an inhumane environment and used as breeding stock. When our team was called to rescue them, we provided extensive care and support, and with time and attention, Chocolate regained his energy. However, due to hair overgrowth resulting in infection, one of his eyes had to be removed. Despite this, he can still see perfectly well with his remaining eye.
Despite all of the hardship he has experienced, Chocolate is a sweet and kind companion who gets along well with humans of all ages and sizes. Although he may be a bit timid at first, he quickly warms up to new people and in no time he will be requesting belly rubs!😊 Chocolate is also good with other dogs and may benefit from having another doggie friend in his new home, especially given his previous attachment to his mate.
Chocolate is a low-energy dog who enjoys short walks and loves to be cuddled. He's the perfect companion for someone or a family who wants a loving pet that requires minimal exercise. With his gentle and kind nature, he's sure to melt your heart and become an integral part of your family.

***Boofi has been adopted ***
Please meet Boofi.
She is a terrier mix and about 3.5 years old. Boof was surrendered to seda due to a change in her family’s circumstances, here in Toronto.
Boof is extremely social; loves to be around people and to hang out so dearly during gatherings and social events. She is gentle and loving to small children and does well around cats. She enjoys playing with some dogs, therefore she requires proper introduction in meeting other dogs. She loves to play and she especially comes alive when playing Fetch/Tug. Her previous family also reported that Boofi was left alone for long hours without causing any trouble/disturbances.
Her fosters describe her as a loving gentle dog who is friendly with everyone in the house, and just loves to cuddle.
She is spayed and up to date with all her vaccines.
We hope Boofi finds a new family who could dedicate the time to interact/play with her and to provide her with ample opportunities to positively interact and socialize with other dogies.

Please meet Lexi. She was rescued by his current family in hopes of finding her a new home; however, they started to bond with her and decided to keep her in the process. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, her family is no longer able to care for her and are desperately looking to find Lexi a new home. Lexi is good with humans and dogs; however, she tends to get over excited around children, therefore, a household with very young humans would not be ideal. She does her potty on a pad therefore, she would require proper potty training. Lexi is generally acceptable of sharing her toys with you, however, she exhibits resource guarding towards her favorite food/treats. She is not a barker unless at a sight of a small critter like raccoons/squirrels or when the doorbell rings. We believe she would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard where she is the only pet, and exposure to proper socializing (dog parks, going on long walks) could benefit her tremendously. You cannot stop falling for her gorgeous face, turquoise eyes, and her very majestic presence as soon as you meet her. Meesha is about 3 years old and is a German Shepherd mix. She has been staying in a dog shelter in Iran since about 5-6 months old. She was rescued after being hit by a car where she experienced serious injuries. As a result her arm had to be amputated. Despite our team's effort in Iran we haven't been able to find her a suitable home due to her being a tripod. Meesha is an extremely gentle and kind dog who is super friendly with all; humans and dogs. Although missing an arm, she feels no limit; she is fully mobile and active and loves to engage and play with other dogs.

It's heartbreaking to witness her stay in a crowded shelter for more than 2 years where she could be destined to remain for the rest of her life if no heart or home is willing to take her in.

✨✨Please meet Sweet Brownie💙 Brownie has traveled across the oceans and has come to Toronto to find his forever home.
Brownie was found about 7 months ago stray on the streets in a city north of Iran, a good samaritan was driving by and saw Brownie get hit by a car right in front of him, they took him to the vet immediately and saved his life. They then cared for and fostered Brownie for 6 months in their huge backyard, Brownie is a golden retriever mix, and very very friendly, He arrived to Canada about a month ago and staying with his foster family now, at first we thought we would need to house train him, but to our surprise Brownie is completely house trained, Sweet with children, friendly with dogs and strangers, and very loving! so we suspect that unfortunately he's previous family had let him go on the streets.
From the moment he was found, he has managed to melt everybody's heart who has met him. He is sweet thoughtful and very considerate, and sometimes a food theive 😉
We are sure whoever adopts Brownie will be a lucky human for receiving so much love and cuddles, those eyes are sure to melt your heart! Brownie will thrive in a house with a fenced backyard, and will benefit from further leash walking training. He's a very smart dog and a fast learner.

Pino is in Toronto and he is looking for a loving forever home. Pino was purchased as a puppy in Iran, his owner passed away very soon after, and he has been rotating from home to home, he has now arrived to Toronto, and staying with a foster, and ready for his furever home. He is only 9 months old so he is very playful and loving, he loves playing with other dogs and loves his humans, so much that he doesn't know what to do without them. Pino needs someone to be able to show him love and gain his trust, and gradually teach him that it's okay to be left alone once in awhile, he gets separation anxiety and cries right now. Pino is neutered and up to date with the mandatory vaccines. Mr Teddy is about 2 years old. He is an extremely charming guy with a very outgoing and playful personality. He is full of life and loves socializing with other dogs and humans of all ages and sizes. He is extremely smart and learns very quickly. His breathing makes a low pitch noise when inhaling and he also snores when sleeping due to a surgery that was done on his chest when he was a puppy. Despite being blind in both eyes he navigates around with ease and finds his way around effortlessly. He is very healthy and up to date with all his vaccines and shots. He is house trained and will only require some initial training upon adoption. Due to a change in his current family's circumstances he is in need of a new forever home.

UPDATE*****Woody has been adopted****

Please meet Woody. He is a Poodle mix and about 4 years old. He was rescued from a very harsh and unkind household. His previous family did very little care for him. His nutrition was really poor, and he was extremely neglected.
When rescued, his organs were shutting down due to his body’s autoimmune response and he kept scratching himself frantically due to sores and ulcers covering all over his body. After a lengthy and intricate treatment and lots of love from his foster, he was able to gain his health back and blossomed into this sweetest and most handsome little guy!
He is extremely gentle and is specialized in melting your heart instantly! He requires no special needs, only great food, and could only benefit from the basic and preliminary training upon adoption. He is neutered and up to date with all his vaccines.

Please meet Rose. Rose is about a year old pomeranian-spitz mix.
She is currently in Toronto.
Rose was bought from a pet store when a baby and was abandoned after a few months when the owners simply changed their mind, similar to many other rescue dogs with the same fate. Rose has been staying at one of our foster's since she was surrendered to us, and despite all our efforts in finding her a forever home in Iran, no suitable candidate has been found as of yet. Due to her beautiful and charming appearance, we are concerned she might be adopted for the wrong reason as she had already been once. She is very kind and affectionate and gets along well with humans and dogs.
We are hoping Rose could finally find a loving and caring home and a family who is patient and is willing to allocate an adequate amount of time providing the necessary initial training to help her to find lifelong happiness.

Please meet Coco. Coco is about 3 years old. He is a very kind and social dog who loves to be around people, and to receive love and attention. He enjoys the outdoors and playing with his doggy and human friends. He adjusts himself very quickly with any new environment and is extremely low maintenance; a true minimalist at heart. He listens very well to instructions and since he loves to please all, he is always at his best behaviour gaining himself the reputation of the most popular dog at his current foster.

Coco has had a very sad and difficult past; he was rescued from a very hostile environment and due to abuse and neglect his left leg was in severe condition which had to be amputated in order to save his life. However this does not impede his love of play and outgoing nature. He appreciates any type of food and enjoys having vegetables and fruits for snacks keeping his beautiful figure in check.

Please meet Lena. She is 9 months old. She was surrendered to SEDA due to her family expecting a new baby. Lena is very good with people of all ages and does well with other dogs. However, she prefers a home without cats. She enjoys receiving attention and to be pet. She is house trained and walks nicely on a leash and loves to go for walks. Lena is OK with her food being touched but shows signs of resource guarding with her food and other dogs.

Update: Venus has been adopted

My name is Venus and I’m 11 months old Husky.
I play very nicely with other dogs whenever I get a chance and I get along with humans very well. However, I would need some time to build the initial trust before bonding.
I do not consider myself a very huggy cuddly type doggie since I had a very difficult past and lived in isolation most of my puppyhood. However, I recently felt the need to keep my foster mommy company at night by sleeping by her side and I find it quite nice! I am also discovering that I’m quite fond of receiving attention and enjoy being pet by her.
I like to eat my food in peace and quiet (who doesn’t !) and will show discontent by growling if a dog gets close to my food.
I’m very healthy, up to date with all my vaccines and have been spayed.
Venus is in TORONTO now.

He was rescued after a neighbour reported to Seda that he was abused physically and was kept on the roof for a long while, neglected and forgotten. He is good with people and dogs, however his demeanour towards cats are unknown.

We are pleased to introduce puppy Benji, Benji is a very energetic and loving pup, He was found stray on the streets when he was a month and a half, He has been taken in by his kind foster in Iran, and has been taken care of in their house, He has been exposed to other doggies there and is very playful. Benji is a mixed breed, and still growing, he will most probably grow to be 50lbs.
He is house trained, but like all the other puppies he needs proper intros and training.

Please meet Yougi. He is about 2-3 years old. Her previous owners kept her outside at all times and she was subjected to neglect and physical abuse. Despite her difficult past she is extremely gentle, quiet, kind and sweet. He loves to be around people and follows them around all day like a shadow; sleeping by their feet or sitting quietly and observing their activity. Yougi is scared of other dogs and tends to hide behind her foster mom when other dogs are around. He is house trained, spayed and up to date with all her vaccines. He requires proper intro and socialization with other dogs.

Please Meet Lady. She is 2 years and 3 months old. Lady was rescued from a very neglectful environment. The previous owners were very abusive with her. When she was rescued, she was extremely malnourished with signs of physical abuse, and she also had cervical infection.
Lady was treated by our team in Iran she had a hard time sleeping and was extremely distressed when waking up, she was fearful of everything and took a long time to become trusting towards her foster Mommy, enjoying her touch and affection.

Lady is doing much better now; she is very smart and learns very quickly with minimal training. She loves to be around people but prefers a home without cats and younger children. She gets along with other dogs in general, however she prefers to be left to herself. Lady is ok with her food being touched but shows signs of resource guarding with her food and other dogs. She is house trained, walks nicely on leash and loves to go for walks.

🐾Meet Wandy, This sweet 2 year old pup came to Canada from Iran 1 month ago, he was rescued from a very abusive situation and has been beaten.
He loves cuddles and is very affectionate, he loves to play with other dogs and loves his humans. At the beginning, he might mark his new place but he is easy to train once he is settled and gets the proper attention.

🐾🐾Meet this amazing 3-month-old puppy, Hazel was found about a month ago by a taxi driver and brought to our team in Tehran, she was lost and scared without her mummy at sight, she had an injured leg. Our dedicated team took her to the vet and cured her little injured leg, now she is All healed and healthy, but she is missing her loving family. Her exact breed is unknown. She is likely to grow and become a medium-sized dog.
Currently, she is staying with her foster in Tehran, she is looking for a dedicated loving home so that she can travel to Canada. ♥️.
