Canadian Dachshund Rescue Ontario has been asked to assist in finding a new loving home for Willa. Willa recently had surgery in attempts to repair paralysis of her hind legs due to IVDD. Sadly the surgery was unsuccessful and her loving owners are not in a position to support her new needs!

If you think you are the right fit for Willa, email [email protected] for an application. All decisions will be made in the best interest for
Willa!

On August 30th, Kelly McNichol, founder of Long Dog Rescue passed away at the age of 64 surrounded by loved ones.

Kelly is survived by her husband of 30 years, Gary McNichol, her children and step children, numerous grandchildren and dog grandchildren, sisters, her MANY friends and her beloved dachshund, Mackie.

She had a passion for nature’s cruelest mistake; the dachshund- raising money and awareness for their long bodies and big hearts. There was always a chorus of barks and wags close to her.

A celebration of life has been planned for October 7. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made by etransfer to Long Dog Rescue at [email protected]

Hi everyone its Marshal. I'm half way thru my assessment and so far my foster mom says I'm doing great. The house training is coming along I haven't had an accident in the house in a week and I've got my first set of shots. I learned to sit and lie down and I don't cry when its time to go to bed and I'm playing with toys and eating well. Anyone interested in becoming my forever family please ask Long Dog Rescue for an application. Hugs everybody.
