We will be offering bath services on specific weekends throughout the summer - if your dog needs a freshen up between grooming appointments or a dog that needs a deshedding bath & blow out; we got you covered.

This is for both current & new clients of The Groom Room, however it’s for BATH only no haircuts as I have a new bather learning the rope’s.

We will weigh your pooch during your visit & price accordingly. Please message for more info & availability☺️🩷

This post is for educational purposes only - negativity will not be tolerated & rude comments will be removed. I am posting this sweet pup to show the importance of a grooming schedule, brush maintenance at home between grooms & communication with your groomer.

When a dog comes into my salon matted, I will not put a puppy or dog of any age through a long, painful de-matting process. De-matting is not only hard on myself, but on the dog’s skin & body as well. Even mild matting can be painful, but in severe cases, matting can cut off circulation to your dog's skin and cause hematomas.

If the matting on your dog is severe, clipping the fur short would be the safest and most humane way to remove the mats. In order to do this, I usually need to use a very short blade length to remove them if the matting is right against the skin.

Some may assume that shaving is a quick, easy fix - but it actually is a very slow, tedious & dangerous process. Certain areas of your dogs skin is thin, most likely already irritated & sometimes the hair is being pulled because of how tight the mats are. When I have to remove a heavily matted coat, risks are always a factor which is why shaving a matted dog must be done with the most utmost care.

I never want to shave your pet, if you’re ever wondering why I stress so much about keeping your 4-legged companion on a grooming schedule; this is why. I want a cute fluffy haircut just like you do, I want what’s best for your dog; always🩷
