💥𝑼𝑲𝑪 𝑷𝑹𝑬𝑴𝑰𝑬𝑹 𝑵𝑨𝑻𝑰𝑶𝑵𝑨𝑳𝑺 2024💥 was another one for the books 🤯
My bred-by girl 🌶𝘚𝘙𝘐𝘙𝘈𝘊𝘏𝘈🌶 had a phenomenal weekend taking Thursdays Top 10 Best of Breed, Fridays Best of Breed and Reserve Grand Champion on Saturday for the conformation win she needed to qualify for the Total Dog Invitational. I had to excuse her from Saturday nights Total Dog Guardian group as she started spiraling from a multitude of triggers and did not tolerate her judges exam 😫 I'm hoping this does not impact her show career for the future as that was extremely unlike her. At the end of the day these are guardian dogs and I will always advocate for my dogs to the best of my ability.

💥𝙐𝙆𝘾 𝙏𝙊𝙋 10 𝙄𝙉𝙑𝙄𝙏𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉𝘼𝙇𝙎 𝘽𝙀𝙎𝙏 𝙊𝙁 𝘽𝙍𝙀𝙀𝘿💥 our first day at Premier Nationals and Siri took the Top 10 Best of Breed win for the 2nd year in a row 🤯😭 The invitationals are when the top dogs of your breed from the year prior (2023) come together by invite-only to compete for an overall best of breed. My girl pulled off this win last year which absolutely shocked me but to win it a second time just solidifies for me her true-to-breed type. She's a gorgeous girl inside and out and I'm super excited for my plans for her in the near future 🥳

Elektra completed her first leg towards her UKC Novice Container nosework title last weekend with a first place finish. She's definitely got some work to do with her ability to focus and work in busy environments but for her first trial I can't complain 🫢😅

💥FIRST TITLE💥 in the books for Joe! He came to Oxford Dog Sports nosework trial this past weekend and finished his Novice Container title and got the first pass towards his Advanced Container with two 3rd place finishes 🥉 we've got a ways to go with working on searching & focusing in such busy environments but 😉

Another weekend, another trial and this time, another failure 😫. It's not always sunshine and rainbows when you're working with your dog to accomplish your goals. It takes time to practice and prepare for trialing and when you don't succeed it can be disappointing or frustrating. We have had one successful leg for Elite Interiors in UKC Nosework for the last several months. We've failed at least the last 5 attempts on trying to get the remaining one leg for the title. We've failed for varying reasons such as false alerts, alerts on distractions or premature clearing before all the odors were found. Today when we failed both runs it was extremely discouraging. I felt myself frustrated and angry with Raeah for not succeeding. I know she knows better and I know we as a team can do better. As we drove home and she sat next to me I realized I felt more disappointed in myself for being upset with her. She could tell I was upset and that's not how I ever want her to feel after we work together. We are a team, pass or fail. Our dogs show up because we bring them there. They don't care about what color the ribbons are or what letters they add to their name. They come out and try their best. Very few dogs make it up to the elite level and even less actually succeed at that level. It's meant to be difficult. I know one day we will get there but until then take this as a reminder to enjoy the time spent with your dog, regardless of your results. Take that extra time to congratulate somebody who posts their successes because you never know how long it took to accomplish that goal or how important it is to that team. I made sure to stop and give Raeah lots of timbits because she worked hard for me and that's all that matters ❤️

Just when I thought the week couldn't go any better 🤩 Rumer pulled two Best of Breed wins and went on to take an FSS Group 1st and then went on to take 🌟BEST IN OPEN SHOW🌟. She's now started her journey towards her CM title as well.
Special thanks to Heather who not only is Saren's new mom but put up with me on a 5 day trip when we only just met. She handled Rumer beautifully and now we need to book more events 🤣❤️

😱𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗖𝗞𝗘𝗗😱 would be an understatement about our recent trip down to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania for the Blue&Gray Cluster AKC Open Shows. I was hesitant to enter as we haven't been in the confo ring since October and this was our first attempt at AKC conformation. I really didn't know what to expect and thought the best outcome would be a few points for each dog towards their AKC CM (Certificate of Merit). Upon arrival I realized just how huge of a turnout this was for Miscellaneous and FSS open show dogs with numbers totaling over 40 dogs for the two classes combined (for EACH show). Realistically I thought there'd be no way we'd place in a group that large.
Little did I know, Siri had other plans. She brought out the glitz and glam and showed her way to the top 🌟. Coming out with two FSS Group 1sts and two FSS Group 2nds 😳🤯. She took 7 of 9 best of breed wins and FINISHED her AKC Certificate of Merit (CM) at one cluster 🤯🤯🤯. This absolutely blew my mind and literally gives me goosebumps. Never in a million years would I have thought she could finish that fast. She is one of only 3 presas who have received CM titles. Forgive me but I'll be spamming for several days with all our win photos 😅🙏
