Meet Little 🤍 she is a ball of energy and the bravest of the group! She came to us as part of a mini TNR project we did this summer. Her 4 siblings were caught and mom was spayed and released. These kittens have come a long way thanks to their foster home!! Little is kitten 3 and her 2 sisters have already found

We have the most exciting news 🥁 after 1 year and 10 months Felix and Meeko have been adopted 🧡🖤

Felix has been a very special boy! Coming to us very matted and neglected. He required an FHO surgery to correct a broken hip and his foster parents now PAWRENTS were diligent about his recovery and care. did amazing work getting Felix healthy and going above and beyond to manage his arthritis pain as he lives with this injury. Felix now runs and jumps and acts like the active young cat he is. We thought he was 8-10 years old by how slow and chill he was. But in fact his is more likely only 5 years old and now gets to act his age 🧡

Meeko was Felix side kick from the pound. They are best friends, more than siblings ever could be. Meeko was also neglected and matted and while he was the feisty of the two. He was beside Felix every step of his recovery. Protecting him and comforting him. Meeko is the younger of the two and the adventure seeker! He loves exploring the backyard and going for walks on his harness.

These brothers have always been truly home 🏠 and we so excited they have been. Because they won the lottery! Their Pawrents are the best and their big sister Maya (dog) loves them to bits. Congratulations MEEKO & FELIX 🖤🧡 stay in touch. We can’t wait to hear about your life!

Thank you for everyone’s support today to find Lilly 🤍We are saddened to report that Lilly passed away due to her injuries 🌈
We are so thankful to the Good Samaritan that witness the car accident and helped bring her to their amazing team were phenomenal in caring for her and Lillys pawrents ❣️

Lilly ran away last night and got lost in the dark. They searched for her until late and got up early this morning to do another search. We are grateful to the community who jumped into action to find her 🖤 104 shares in less then 40 minutes.

It seems she was trying to come home at day break when she got hit by a car. She had extensive injuries and also needed her front right paw amputated. She lost considerable skin as well. She was on pain killers to keep her comfortable at the vet.

They made the difficult and compassionate decision to put her down to end her suffering. They are absolutely devastated and understandably shaken. We are grieving for them and with them as Lilly was a very special girl to us 💗

Thank you to Guardian for calling Lilly’s pawrents when she arrived as they found her collar information. Thank you to the Good Samaritan who helped and called NASAP to let us know.

We got a HAPPY TAILS for Murphy 🖤

“Murphy is our absolute blessing and we feel like he was meant to be our boy. He has the most loving personality and is so calm that everyone to meet him can't help but fall in love 💕 He has grown bigger than we originally anticipated but he is truly a great big teddy bear! At his last vet check he was 85 lbs and he doesn't show any signs of slowing down. He goes with us everywhere (and loves the Tim Hortons drive-thru). In fact, our Jeep was bought specifically to accommodate him and he loves cuddling up when we drive anywhere. We are so grateful to NASAP for bringing our boy into our lives! He has settled right in with our human family as well as our grand puppies! What can I say other than "Murphys Law" brought him to us when we least expected it, and he is loved more than we ever dreamed possible. Thank you for all you do! Because of you, our Murphy will only ever know a lifetime of love and adoration!”

We got an amazing pup date from Millie! she was adopted this summer!
" It took me a couple of days to stop reacting when Dad/Jim came home, even though it was his side of the bed that was most comfortable. He won me over with treats and toys some of which I’ve completely recycled. They brought in a trainer so they’d be better obeying my commands and I now reward them when they produce a hot dog by pretending to hear them call my name, or lie on the cushions they’ve laid on the floor. We’ve explored dog parks in Hinton, Kamloops, Victoria, Nanaimo and several in Edmonton.

The one I like best is along the North Saskatchewan River between the rowing club and the bridge to Hawerlak Park. I can run through the water then up the bank going from pale golden to black and back almost instantaneously. It’s especially helpful if another dog likes to run and climb the bank as much as I do. We do laps together until one of us has to nap…although usually mom or dad make me go back to the car before that happens (I think they tire out too quickly). If I need to run more when we get home I do laps between the three floors of the house. Occasionally I even forget mom and dad are nearby and get so excited I forget my own name, but Dad says he knows where I am all the time…I think it has something to do with the small box on my collar. I catch him looking at a map on his cell phone that shows everywhere I’ve been.

Oh, I also went on my first plane ride. It was a little confusing when we left Victoria but I was really happy to see everyone as I rode the conveyor belt back in Edmonton. They tell me there will be a slightly longer trip after we spend a month in the desert. I like to ride in the car…I never really know where we are going. Day Care didn’t work so well as I got too excited, would nip at the staff and try to climb fences of the pens where the tried to separate me from all the other playmates. I’m getting a little better at not nipping or mouthing the people I care for most, but it’s a challenge when I’m excited.

I’ve learned not to leap at bikes and joggers along the paths I walk. Most of the time mom and dad help by giving me treats while I sit as they pass, but sometimes now I ignore them without any incentive. You’d likely know it was me if you passed because my colors are exactly the same (unless I’ve been rolling in mud), but I’m much taller and heavier…the vet weighed me last week and I am almost 75 pounds. That comes in handy at the dog park when I find someone who wants to wrestle.

Aside from the odd time when they make me go into the cage while they go out it’s a pretty good life. About a week ago I reminded them they might need to plan these times a little better. I’d only had a walk in the morning, they’d worked all day - I keep an eye on their productivity from the cushion on the office floor. Just when I thought we’d go for another walk they put me in the cage. I did what I usually do and slept while they were gone. When they got home I pretended everything was normal even climbing the stairs with them to the big bed we all share (well, I let them have space on the edges). I let them sleep about the same amount of time I’d slept in the cage. Then, I stood on mom, licked her face, and she came downstairs with me where we played fetch’. I expect they’ll plan their time, and mine, differently the next time. There’s water in white bowls on every floor of the house, and in a metal bowl beside my food dish. There’s almost always food in my dish…I get plenty of treats if I’m still hungry (I’m always hungry).
