I have been away at the side of a family member in Palliative Care. I have reached out as I can to my clients. I will be back. I just have limited time at the moment as I spend my time with the person I love dearly.

It's been a bit since I posted. I have been busy packing and moving and am finally getting settled back into a routine.
We are back at it full time.
We offer nail trims, brush outs, ear cleaning, baths, dog walking and a new service we want to offer is vet visit accommodation.
We know you are busy and so are our vets. We will help you out and get them to their much needed appointment if you are not able too.

After a year of illness and loss I am happy to say I am back at it
A huge thank you to all of my clients for understanding and supporting me during this time. I truly have the best clients. For allowing me to work around hospital visits and crazy availability I will be forever grateful.
I have expanded the team a bit and have someone working in the background making sure the app is running and working.

I often struggle to give words to those in situations of loss. But this weekend I was humbled to have had the opportunity to be able to visit and sit with Missy and her mom Debi. Missy was failing in her health and her mom reached out to us for one last trim and we were given the chance for one last snuggle. Jaylin and I have made a bond with many of you and your pets. To be able to share one last moment with Missy was touching.
I am ever appreciative of that. As was Jaylin.
Missy passed Sunday with her family and will be forever missed by many.
Rest easy sweet Missy. We will miss your serenade as we drive to the park for our many adventures and we will miss your whisker kisses.
See you on the other end of the rainbow bridge.

My customers are very important to me. And I am humbled with all of you who continue to work with me and let me take care of your pets. The last couple of months have been hard and I know my response time is lagging as well as being able to get in touch with me. I am navigating to getting to all of you while spending as much time as I can with a dying family member. The next few weeks I may be a little harder to get in touch with as I travel 3 hours to spend time with her. I try to spend as much as I can. Just have some patience and I will definitely fit you in when and wherever I can. I appreciate all of you. Hug your loved ones for me.

Lion Cuts
Lion cuts in cats are a full body shave that leaves the head and main, legs and tail.
It's often used as a preventative for long hair cats due to recurring matting. Matting is very painful and causes the skin to irritate and become red. Hot spots and sores can occur due to matting
Pyjama Trim or Teddy Bear trim or Comb trim
This is a trim performed on cats and dogs that have a well maintained coat.
In cats it's similar to the lion cut but longer for for aesthetics.
In dogs it's a short cut that allows for easier maintenance of the fur and keeps it looking neat.
Hygiene or Sanitary Trim
This is a typically a trim of the hind end that removes hair to stop f***s and urine from getting trapped in the hair.
I often do sanitary trims for larger cats or dogs that can't regularly groom, arthritic animals or matted animals.
Have you been Skunked? 🤢 Don't wash them right away!
Skunk spray is one of the worst smells to hit your dog!
Comprised of a yellowish oil made out of thiols and thioacetates. It clings to surfaces for extended periods of time.
It's the thiols that bind to the skin to stay for extended periods. WHEN you wet the skunk spray the thioacetates turn to thiols! And the spray is an oil so NO WATER. Deactivate it first!
Get yourself a deactivator! I have included a famous mix created by chemist Paul Krebaum
You can buy ready made like Skunk off to have on hand.
Skunk Spray Recipe:
3 quarts of 3% hydrogen peroxide
1/2 cup sodium bicarbonate (baking soda)
1 to 2 table spoons of liquid dish soap (I prefer blue dawn)
