Dar-Lee Roya Cooper got to take willie nelson for a spin tonight and i’m so proud of them both 🤍🌸🦄
she sure does make him look good!
trotting circles with some shoulder work thrown in!🦄🌸✨
trailer loading doesn’t have to be a bad word 🤍🌸✨👑👇🏻
willie nelson’s last time in the trailer was less than ideal - it got quickly out of hand and it ended up with him having a HORRIBLE loading experience and a ton of added stress for him 😞 today was the first time he’s seen a trailer in well over a month and he hesitated the first 2-3 times and i ended up having to work him for 5 minutes outside of the trailer, but he quickly relearned that rest = trailer and he happily strutted into the trailer to hangout with me and get some alfalfa pellets in return! we loaded about 15-20 times with small breaks in between and then i let him rest in the barn for half an hour, and then i loaded him 5 more times and he never missed a beat 🤩🌸👑
he’s just the goofiest boy and it makes my heart so happy 🥹💕🥹
Super fun box exercise tonight for willie nelson!
We started with ground poles and as he started to figure out his feet and spacing, we raised them.
It only took him one turn around each way to figure out the woah and rest in the box!💕
Even with his baby brain, I’ve never had a horse work harder for me. Ever.
💗🤩💖✨
We’re working on building up Willie’s top line!
So, we decided to start with some ground poles to get him stretching long & low 💗
He tripped on the last pole his first time around because he missed his spacing but he’s slowly figuring his feet out!
That’ll do, baby horse.
That’ll do.
😻🦄✨🙈
How to lead a horse 101!🤪🤍
Good horses, like this guy, are sooo underrated 🥰
