Zola, previously Ada was one of our very first foster dogs over three years ago, a super cute reservation mutt who was here with Nigel. She was adopted all that time ago. However, she was returned this summer when her family couldn't care for her anymore. She has grown up to be an absolutely stunning young lady, with a fantastic personality.

Here is what we know so far;

✔️ Good with kids (10+)
✔️ Good with dogs
✔️ Good with dog-savvy cats
✔️ Good with livestock
✔️ Rural or fenced yard
✔️ Breed experience an asset

When Zola returned to our farm, we decided that we would change her name back to her original name, and she didn't even miss a beat.

She is such a people pleaser. She is head shy and is very responsive to corrections when needed. Zola can be a little spicy meeting new dogs, but with her receptiveness to corrections, situations can de-escalate quickly.

Zola is very true to her breeds and would do best in a home with breed experience. Here, she has met a ton of new friends with little to no issues, but we are very mindful of her body language.

She has an incredible personality. She would likely jump into your skin if you let her, and she loves to give sloppy kisses. Her recall is fantastic. She is fully crate trained.

On Friday, sweet boy Jack was given the royal treatment with Ainsley at Furry Friends Grooming outside of Markdale.

Ainsley has generously donated many hours of her time to groom and bathe our foster dogs of Sato Saved End of the Line Dog Rescue and Rehabilitation before they go on trials and/or get adopted.

The transformation Jack had on Friday from being a rugged farm dog to a fluffy king was nothing short of impressive.

As soon as we met Jack, we knew he was a special boy, a sweet soul. But most impressively, his willingness to adapt to new things within 24 hrs.

✔️ Grooming

Jack has gone on a week-trial, and we are really optimistic, especially with how in-your-pocket he was with us for such a short time frame.

Back at the end of May, Sato Saved introduced five (5) female Six Nations pups that required placement. We took in three of the girls and named them after one of my favourite shows - Mommas Family; Thelma, Iola (iola), and Naomi (adopted and now Nellie).

Iola is the more confident sister who likes to explore her surroundings. She hasn't been the most affectionate puppy up until this point. However, during cuddle sessions, she is content. She is such a happy little girl and is your typical adventurous and curious puppy.

Here is what we know so far;

✔️ Good with dogs
✔️ Good with dog-savvy cats
✔️ Good with livestock
✔️ Rural or fenced yard

Iola loves other dogs and would likely be okay in a single-pet home or multi-pet home. We are actively working on her crate and potty training.

She is a very smart cookie and loves her food and treats, which makes her training very manageable. We can not believe she still hasn't been adopted, but know her forever family is out there somewhere.

Due to no fault of his own, Milo was surrendered to Sato Saved Dog Rescue a couple of months ago. His family loved him dearly, but with financial insecurity looming over their heads, they made the difficult decision to surrender.

Milo hasn't really missed a beat though, this quirky looking surfer dude is an in-your-pocket guy and bonds quickly with his people.

Here is what we know so far;

✔️ Prefer home with kids (he loves them)
✔️ Good with dogs
✔️ No cats
✔️ Fenced yard or rural property

Milo truly is a really great dog, very well-rounded, and loves people. Because he was raised in a home with children, and he loves their company, it would be nice for him to be adopted into a family with kids. Not mandatory - just preferred.

Milo has shown to have a big prey drive with cats, especially outside, so at this time, we believe a feline-free home is ideal.

Milo has shown to be good in the car, sometimes anxious, but, having done multiple hour road trips in foster care, he is doing great.

Milo is fully crate trained and house trained.

Also, a BIG thank you to Furry Friends Grooming for cleaning Milo up and helping us with our fosters when in need!

Before finalizing his adoption, he will be UTD on his vaccines, and he is already neutered and on all appropriate preventions. We are currently medicating him for yeast infections in his ears - which is clearing up nicely. Back in January, Sato Saved helped with a litter of puppies born on one of the coldest days of the winter.

Penny is one of a few siblings still of the litter, and she is a go-go-go type of dog. She has been through all her basic levels of obedience. However, she will need refreshers with this training because she will test boundaries and be rude.

Here is what we know so far;

✔️ Good with kids (10+)
✔️ Good with dogs (loves dogs)
✔️ No cats
✔️ High prey drive
✔️ Fenced yard

Penny is good with all people, but because she is a very hyper dog, she lacks some manners when meeting new people - hence children should be older.

She would thrive in a home with another dog, as she is insanely dog-social. Absolutely no small animals, cats, and livestock - her prey drive is too high.

Penny is fully crate trained and house trained.

Looking for a loyal, laid-back companion with a heart as big as his fur coat? We have been contacted by a family in the Mennonite Community in Grey Highlands who are looking to rehome their dog.

After an initial meet-and-greet Check is a big, beautiful bundle of fur who is incredibly well-mannered. When we met him, he didn’t bark, didn’t jump—just calmly, came over for a sniff, and showed a curious, gentle nature. He’s respectful and sweet.

While he doesn’t currently get a lot of one-on-one attention, you can tell he’s craving engagement and mental stimulation. He would thrive in a home where he can learn the ropes of being an indoor family dog, enjoy regular playtime, and soak up some love.

What we’re looking for;
A foster-to-adopt home—someone who can welcome Check into their family and work with us as he completes his vetting. This ensures his transition is smooth, and his future is bright.
