Happy to have the results from Charlie’s scope. No Cancer! No amputation! He will need the joint fusion surgery which is scary but SO relieved that he will not lose his leg.
The surgery is booked for early October and after such a long road of pain and vet appointments for him, I’m grateful that we finally have answers.

Spoke to the Orthopaedic Surgeon today and unfortunately the bloodwork showed non-specific results so Charlie is booked for an ankle scope tomorrow.
One of his litter mates, Jane and her Mama have generously set up a Go-Fund me to help with the extensive Vet bills that we have incurred so far and for the vet bills yet to come.

Saw the orthopaedic surgeon today and had more bloodwork drawn and more extensive stress X-rays. Unsettling news as there are 3 scenarios of what might be going on.
1) OCD injury which is small cracks in the cartilage causing damage to his ankle joint. If this is the case, he would require a radical surgery to fuse the joint.
2) Rheumatoid arthritis which would require him to being on a steroid long term.
3) Cancer in the ankle joint which would require amputation. 😭😭😭😭😭
All 3 scenarios are awful and we will have answers when the bloodwork return next week and figure out the next step.
Thanks to everyone who helped with my fundraiser. The funds covered his X-rays and bloodwork today and is very appreciated. ❤️

I’m completely heartbroken. My prized possession, my Mini Cooper was side swiped while I was driving and now sitting in a collision shop. I was not injured, thankfully but I’m beyond sad. I’m thankful to witnesses who helped me and called Police who arrived in minutes. 💔

Charlie has been suffering with an injured back leg for more than 2 months. He has had many Vet visits with extensive testing including X-rays, Bloodwork, Tap of his leg and has been on pain meds the whole time. After a 2nd opinion today, it has been recommended that he have surgery. To help with costs I am going to have a Fundraiser and hope my loyal customers can help.

I am Madison and I am 12 years old. I love dogs and created my dog treat bakery to make awesome yummy dog treats and barkday cakes for them! I travel in my Dog Treat Truck in the summer with my 3 Golden Retreivers, Cooper, London and Baby Charlie. I give back to local dog rescues with donations and dog treats, so that doggies that are still waiting for a forever home, still feel pretty special. All year long, I attend dog events, farmers markets and craft fairs in my community. If you need something special for your dog, send me a message and I would love to be part of their special day! All dogs deserve a special treat! My dog treats are all Gluten Free. Ingredients are all natural fruit and proteins, coconut flour, coconut oil, egg and honey.
